This meditation offers us the opportunity to cultivate a practice of gently and easily quieting the mind,

Relaxing the body,

And soothing the spirit.

So let's begin by settling into this moment right now,

Getting comfortable,

Whatever that means for you,

Whether you'd like to lay down or recline or be seated in a chair.

Often when we are seated and upright,

We're able to resist falling asleep so we can be more present in the practice of meditating and quieting the mind.

And we'll begin with a nice big deep breath in with the eyes closed and let it out.

And another nice big deep breath in and exhale.

And one more big beautiful deep breath in and let it out.

And as you continue to breathe and create a rhythm,

Feel your body begin to settle into a space of calm relaxation.

You may feel it in the center of your body in a tiny little spot as it begins to expand down your body into your legs,

Up through your torso,

Throughout your back,

Chest,

And shoulders,

Relaxing down through your arms and your hands and fingers.

And this essence of calm continues all the way up through your neck and all through your head.

And notice the space behind your eyes where your thoughts appear,

Often catching your attention and leading you in many directions.

And as you continue to breathe,

Feel a calm serenity begin to permeate the space behind your eyes as your mind becomes quieter and more calm with each breath.

A peacefulness begins to expand.

Your mind becomes even more still.

And if you notice any thoughts popping up or any distractions that begin to appear,

That's okay.

We're not turning off the mind.

We're more creating a flow of the mind and a gentle release of any thoughts or distractions.

So if something comes up for you,

Large or small,

If you need,

You can imagine it gently floating away into the atmosphere,

Whether you put it in a bubble or on a cloud,

As you come back to your breath,

Feeling the soothing and relaxing energy you are cultivating in this moment right now.

And with each inhale and exhale,

You slip deeper into this calm and serene state that soothes you and allows any energy that you no longer need to be released as you become more grounded and present in this moment,

Letting go of the past or any thoughts about the future.

You are calm and breathe.

For each breath offers an opportunity to release and feel balanced.

Your grounded centeredness is always within you.

And we are realigning you with that,

The ever-present stillness,

The gentle and easy calm and quiet,

Peaceful and serene energy expanding throughout your body,

Easing your mind and soothing your spirit.

For this peaceful,

Quiet and gentle inner energy is becoming even stronger deep within you,

Holding you so steady and safe in the serenity.

And now that you have found your calm,

Grounded centeredness,

Let's gently take another big deep breath in and let it out.

And another nice,

Big deep breath in and let it out.

And one more big,

Deep inhale of peaceful,

Calm serenity and let go of any remaining energy that no longer serves you.

And with that,

When you are ready,

Gently open your eyes and come back to your space.

And now,

Let's take another deep breath in and let out.
