This is Day 19 of the 28-Day ONE MINUTE Mindfulness Challenge. Today we will be mindful of our breath as we feel the sensations and energy between our hands. These are short, quick mindfulness exercises for teachers, parents and children to get a taste of what it feels like to commit to the self-care practice of mindfulness every day for 28 days.

Welcome to day 19 of your mindfulness challenge.

Today we'll be paying attention to our breath and our body with energy ball breath.

Sit tall and place your hands in front of your belly as if you were holding a ball of energy.

First let your hands come close enough that they're almost touching.

Take a breath in and let your hands move apart from each other letting your ball get bigger.

As you breathe out bring your hands slowly back together to almost touching but not quite.

Do you notice any sensations in your hands with your hands close?

Take your breath in move your hands apart noticing any changes and sensations in your hands as they move away from each other.

Breathe out slowly move your hands towards each other noticing sensations in your hands.

One more breath in hands move apart breath out hands move back together.

Place your hands in your lap lift your chin lift your eyes.

Great work today.
