Hello and good morning my name is Miska Ananda and I'll be guiding you through a short five-minute morning meditation.
Before we begin make sure you are in a comfortable position either seated or laying down and allow your eyes to gently close.
Slowly inhale from the belly and into the chest all the way up to the crown of the head and gently hold your breath.
Hold,
Hold and exhale from the crown down to the chest filling your ribs,
Your belly and pausing on the last bit of breath out of your body.
Once again inhale from your belly allow it to flow through your ribs into your chest and all the way up into the crown of your head where you gently hold the breath for five seconds.
And then exhale five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Settle into a natural breathing rhythm.
Breathing in feel your stomach rise and breathing out feel your stomach fall and allow yourself to be comfortable in the stillness and in the silence.
Begin to notice the sounds inside the room,
The sounds outside.
These are not distractions,
Not disruptions,
Simply what's happening around us as we sit and breathe.
Today is a new day.
You have the opportunity to start fresh right here and right now to invite in love,
Gratitude and joy and to give kindness,
Grace and love and the source of all of it is inside of you.
So take a deep breath in and feel the deep warmth at the center of you.
A glowing sphere radiating with warmth and brightness.
Feel yourself smile and relax snuggling a little bit deeper as you recognize this warm glowing sphere,
Your essence,
Your own personal unique glow.
With each breath in watch this sphere radiate a little bit brighter,
Illuminating from your inside out.
Feel the lightness,
The joy,
The gratitude,
All of it and now I want you to take a second to think about how you can take your glow into the day.
How you can share this lightness and warmth with others through your touch,
Through your smile,
Your words,
Your actions and with each kind word you share your glow only gets brighter.
You are meant to shine.
So slowly begin to bring yourself back into this moment and this morning.
Begin to move your fingers and your toes,
Wiggling them and waking them up to this beautiful day.
Gently open your eyes bringing your hands to your heart.
Bow your head in gratitude for taking the time to delve deep within and to come into this day with a brand new joy.
Namaste.
My name is Niska Ananda and thanks for listening to this five minute morning meditation.
I hope you have a wonderful and absolutely beautiful morning ahead.
