Gently close your eyes or lower your gaze.
Begin to notice the natural rhythm of your breath.
Don't try and alter it in any way.
Just let the body do what comes naturally.
Perhaps you allow the breath to lengthen and deepen,
Bringing your awareness to the sensations of breathing.
Maybe noticing the rise and fall of your belly.
Maybe noticing the expansion and retraction of the ribs.
Maybe noticing the slight rise and fall of the shoulders as they ride the waves of your breath,
Sitting atop the rib cage.
Maybe you notice the cool air entering the nose and the warmth of the air as it leaves.
Now,
In your mind's eye,
Envision yourself sitting alongside a gentle stream,
Water softly bubbling and flowing over the smooth rocks.
Let the sound and movement create a sense of calm and ease.
As you arrive at the close of your day,
Your week,
Your month,
Or even your year,
Consider what you may be ready to release.
Perhaps they are worries or anxieties,
Regrets,
Or unkind words that no longer need your attention.
Imagine writing these thoughts on a piece of paper,
Gently crumpling it and placing it into the stream.
Watch as it drifts away,
Carried by the current.
Allow the universe to wash away any lingering stress or heaviness.
Take a deep breath in,
And a long,
Slow breath out.
Now,
Point to your mind's eye a positive thought.
Perhaps it's something you did well today,
A meaningful moment you shared with yourself or another,
Or maybe a person or a pet who brought a smile to your face.
Maybe it's something new and interesting you learned.
Take a moment and notice what naturally rises to the surface.
Whatever positive thoughts emerged,
Choose one and hold it gently at your heart center.
Let that feeling grow warm and bright,
Radiating outward from the heart chakra.
With your breath,
Guide that warmth to your solar plexus chakra,
Sensing a golden glow of energy.
Let the breath carry it further to your sacral chakra,
Illuminating a soft orange light.
Then,
Feel it move down to the root chakra,
Expanding into a grounded red energy that spreads down the legs and into the feet.
Now,
Allow that energy to rise.
Feel it move into the throat chakra,
Glowing with a calm blue light.
Then,
Up into the third eye chakra,
Filling the mind with a steady purple radiance.
Finally,
Let all this positivity shine upward through the crown chakra,
Offering its light to the universe.
For the next few moments,
Feel your entire energy system bright,
Open,
And alive with the positive thought you chose.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
Gently begin to return to the space around you.
And when you're ready,
