Hi,
I'm Penny with Rediscover Your Shine.
In this recording,
I invite you to explore one of the eight foundational stages of my yoga nidra practices.
As you step into this short practice,
Perhaps allowing your body to be supported and softening a little part of your day or evening.
All you need to do is simply follow the sound of my voice for a few moments.
I invite you to imagine you're walking on a path of stone and you are surrounded by nature.
The sun has just come up and is peeking through the canopy of the trees.
There is a gentle breeze,
Just the right temperature.
Perhaps you notice the sun filtering through the canopy of the leaves.
Rays of sun.
Lighting the space around you.
Perhaps you notice the crunching of the stone beneath your feet as you walk.
You notice a tall cypress next to a pond of water.
As you approach the tree,
You place both hands on its surface.
Notice the texture.
Or perhaps the scent of its bark.
Standing with the tree.
Perhaps noticing a sense of connection between the earth beneath you and the sky above.
There is a slight movement in front of you over the pond and you notice a hummingbird.
Rises and flies off.
Perhaps you notice a softening somewhere in your body.
A natural breath.
Or simply continue noticing whatever is here.
You feel grounded and held.
A white-tailed dove crosses your line of vision.
And lands in the branch of the cypress tree just above your head.
Maybe there's a sense of wonder in this moment.
You find a space to sit that feels comfortable,
Perhaps a spot of moss or grass or a bench.
Isn't this quiet?
You hear several birds calling all around you and across the pond.
All hidden by the tree canopy.
Nature's melody.
Another movement from the pond catches your awareness.
A turtle peeking up at you as if to say hello,
Before quickly dropping back under the water.
The pond ripples softly and several fish below the surface catch your eye.
Perhaps you notice the support beneath you.
As you take in the beauty around you.
Supported amongst nature's beauty.
As an orange butterfly glanced to your right.
It's on a flower so close you can see its tongue sipping nectar.
You feel connected.
Grounded and held.
Now I am I invite you to thank yourself for taking this time for showing up.
For resting.
Hold,
Healthy,
Complete.
Just as you are.
Bring your awareness to your fingers.
Imagine wiggling them.
And when you are ready,
You may wiggle your fingers,
Slowly awakening your body.
Perhaps allowing a soft,
Gentle smile and breath to move through your body.
