Hello and welcome to this week's meditation.
Find somewhere you can completely relax and come to an easy seated position.
Let your spine be long and lifted towards the sky as you root down through your sit bones.
Really feel yourself being supported by the earth beneath you.
Let yourself be lovingly held as you completely relax your mind,
Your chest,
Your shoulders,
Your belly,
Your arms,
And your legs,
Allowing yourself to be really heavy and supported by your chair.
Now take a nice deep breath in,
Filling your belly,
Your ribs,
And your chest,
Holding it at the top,
And exhale through your mouth with a sigh.
We'll do this two more times.
Inhale,
Filling your belly,
Ribs,
Chest,
Pause.
Exhale.
Inhale,
Belly,
Ribs,
Chest,
Pause.
And exhale from your chest,
Ribs,
Belly,
Allowing your belly button to move towards your spine as you exhale all the air from your lungs.
And relax as you allow your breath to return to normal.
Now I want you to think of something you love.
Maybe it's a person,
A pet,
Or even a place.
Just focus on it for a moment here.
And as you do so,
See if you can isolate the feeling of love.
What does it feel like in your body?
Maybe warm,
Cozy,
Light.
And as you isolate this feeling,
Let the object of your attention lovingly dissolve into the background as you stay rooted and present in that emotion of love,
Ease,
And warmth in your body and mind.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Now I want you to imagine what it would feel like to feel that loving sensation towards yourself and your life all day long.
To really feel that same warmth,
Appreciation,
And excitement about you and the life you live.
So using that emotion of warmth,
Kindness,
Appreciation,
Begin to create an image of yourself smiling and thriving in that state of love in your mind's eye.
This version of you loves unconditionally and easily.
Their eyes are full of compassion and kindness.
And they are in complete awareness of their goodness and power to create beautiful things.
This loving version of you is totally at peace with who they are.
They have embraced all your quirks and love you as you ride this wave of human experience with its ups and downs in an unchanging and overflowing way.
Now using this version of you as a touchstone,
I'd like you to ask yourself,
If I completely,
Totally,
Wholeheartedly loved and honored myself,
How would I move through life?
How does the most loving version of me breathe and smile?
How would I look at myself in the mirror?
And really see yourself looking at you in the mirror through the eyes of love?
Ask yourself,
What does my facial expression look like?
What kinds of words do I use to describe myself?
How do I move?
What is my pace and gait look like as I walk down the street?
How does the most loving version of me treat complete strangers?
What kinds of foods do I fuel my body with?
What kinds of habits and rituals do I have?
Where in the world am I?
What kinds of risks do I take?
Inhale and exhale with a sigh.
Really see that loving version of you moving through life with ease.
See yourself respecting yourself and taking loving,
Supportive actions with clarity and confidence.
There's a way to make this version of you a living reality.
Every time you come to a decision point or a crossroads,
Ask yourself,
What would the most loving version of me do?
And live the answer.
By using your most loving self as a decision making tool,
You can't help but begin to merge with it and live the results of that way of being.
And remember,
This loving version of you isn't waiting to reach some point of perfection before it loves.
It loves now,
Without restraint or condition.
Not needing anything or anyone to be different to requisite love,
For it's simply who you are.
This version of you doesn't berate themselves if they slip up,
Make a mistake,
Or do something unloving.
Instead they're right there with a big smile,
Ready to give a hand up and a hug,
Reminding you continuously of your power to begin again in this moment and choose anew.
You can nurture yourself as something you care deeply for.
You can be your own cheerleader and champion.
You can choose to treat yourself as a treasure of infinite worth.
And you can choose to do this right now.
Thank you so much for being here with me today.
From one lover to another,
Namaste.
