  • Brotherhood on the Road. Shared challenge, mutual support, and authentic relating create a level of connection most men rarely experience.

  • Led by a Facilitator Who Rides and Guides. He blends adventure, men’s work, and practice, bridging the gap between modern man and timeless traditions.

  • Authentic Men’s Work. The practices go beyond surface-level. They include self-inquiry, shadow work, embodiment, and emotional literacy.

  • Riding to the Top of the World. The route crosses Ladakh’s legendary passes, including Umling La, the highest motorable pass on Earth.

  • Yoga and Meditation. The practice is designed to balance strength and stillness. Breath, grounding, and embodiment to sustain clarity and stamina.

  • All Logistics Handled. Experienced support team, frees participants to immerse fully in the adventure and their inner journey.

  • Integration Beyond the Ride. Evening circles, journaling, and post-retreat guidance ensure the insights gained translate into real shifts in life.

  • An Experience, Not a Tour. This is not a packaged vacation. It’s a curated journey for men seeking clarity, brotherhood, and transformation.

Details

Set in the raw majesty of the Indian Himalayas, Journey to Ladakh is an 18-day Men's Yoga and Meditation Retreat that combines the thrill of motorcycle adventure with the depth of men’s work and spiritual practice. The atmosphere is one of brotherhood, presence, and honest self-reflection, a space where men ride, share, and grow together. Each day blends open-road freedom with grounding practices of yoga, meditation, and circle work. Beyond the breathtaking terrain lies the true intention of this retreat: to reconnect with purpose, integrity, and inner strength. Designed for men who seek more than group travelling, it’s a modern rite of passage, guided, supported, and transformative. With logistics handled and connection at its core, this experience offers both the solitude of the mountains and the power of a shared journey.

Location

Ladakh, India

In Leh, Ladakh, the Lower Gangba stretch of Upper Tukcha Road is a quiet, sunlit lane of whitewashed Ladakhi homes and gardened guesthouses tucked among poplars, willows, and apricot trees, a short stroll from Fort Road and the Main Bazaar. Prayer flags flicker over chortens and mani walls as meltwater channels chatter by; mornings smell of juniper smoke and butter tea, and the skyline lifts to the Stok Kangri range with Leh Palace and Namgyal Tse

Testimonials

info

This was a memorable experience, not only because riding across the Himalayas is incredible in itself. The team, the locations, and the inner work fit perfectly with the adventure. It makes this retreat a unique way to enjoy and appreciate life and brotherhood, and to take the time to ask deep questions. Thanks, Gonçalo.

Sebastian M., Spain

This experience was very unique and especially valuable because it combined together: • The excitement and adventure of motorcycling in the Indian Himalayas, which was incredible in its own right • Learning new skills associated with the morning yoga sessions which can provide lifelong benefits • Experiencing spiritual elements through yoga and the monastery visits which added perspective and connection • Soul searching through journaling and the men's circles which brought insights and inspiration • Developing deep connections with the other participants which only was possible because of all of the shared experiences listed above. The only downside is that now I am kind of spoiled as I contemplate future adventures which are likely to be more one-dimensional and less fully enriching.

Stuart T., USA

This was a fabulous journey in so many respects. Challenging physically with the altitude and some challenging conditions on the road. But it was conducted in the company of a very thoughtful and supportive group of men with some time and space for self reflection all lead most ably by our facilitator and supported by a great team of mechanics/fixers all with a great sense of humour. I’m so glad I completed this trip which has made memories for life.

Simon G., UK

This retreat far exceeded my expectations. Gonçalo has an incredible ability to allow you to be extremely vulnerable while maintaining your masculinity. The practices i learned during this retreat has been easily transferred into my daily life and allowed me to manage my mental well-being efficiently and more effectively. I am extremely grateful and thankful to the team and would highly encourage all men to take the step of self development with Gonçalo and take control of their masculinity in a healthy way.

Jason S., Australia

I decided to come on this journey as a gift to myself as I turn 50, and I am eternally grateful that I did. I have been doing men's work for the last few years, and have always had a passion for motorcycle touring, so Inner Outer Journeys felt like the perfect mix of adventure and personal growth for me. Having a group of brothers sharing the same ethos, and being open to the challenges of inner and outer exploration, made for profound and enriching experiences every day that we were together. I can't recommend this trip highly enough.

James H., New Zealand

The Journey to Ladakh was an amazing, unforgettable adventure and a life enriching experience. The riding was sometimes challenging but not too difficult for a relatively inexperienced rider like myself. The sharing practice was new to me and and it added much more to the whole experience than I had expected.

Ger W., Netherlands

An amazing time of self reflection and discovery with a brilliant band of brothers, set in an amazing backdrop of the Himalayas.
