Welcome to the Embrace of Acceptance Meditation Series.
You are listening to Meditation 3 of 4.
We begin this session with some philosophy from the teachers who inspired this work.
Please stay awake and alert for this portion of the session.
We are masters in disguise.
We have created the current image we have of ourselves,
Mostly using information we received from others.
We have come to believe this image of ourselves to be true,
And we've lived it over and over again,
Reinforcing it so that it has become second nature.
It doesn't occur to us to think about who we really are.
We believe we are who we have always known ourselves to be.
We feel sure this belief self is who we are.
But we are creators.
You are a creator.
And you create out of your awareness.
Resistance comes up when we keep supporting an old image of ourselves.
We believe ourselves to be the roles we play.
We are encouraged to live up to the ideal images society has provided for us.
Then we all judge each other on how well we live that ideal.
Through self-honesty,
We become more whole,
And we find ourselves inclined to be more honest with others in a way that translates into our respect for the other because we have finally begun to respect ourselves.
We come to experience self-respect.
Through our self-honesty,
We also discover the deep fear that lies within us.
The fear may manifest as,
I'm going to be rejected or be extremely embarrassed by my behavioral issues.
I lose myself when I try to mask these fears by numbing myself with drugs,
Alcohol,
Eating,
Sex,
Or sleeping because I am afraid.
These are beliefs about rejection and abandonment.
They are not who we really are.
Many of us search for someone out there who loves us,
Accepts us,
And embraces us.
Yet often,
The energy we are generating toward ourselves prevents anyone like that from showing up.
We end up with someone who mirrors how we feel about ourselves.
It's not that life punishes us.
Life is a mirror.
It mirrors the way we withhold our own love from ourselves.
And we talk to ourselves almost all the time.
How often do we realize that we are talking to someone else inside of us?
We talk to ourselves about ourselves without even noticing.
There can be a number of someone else's inside of us.
And because most of us haven't accepted all of ourselves,
We're often very harsh with ourselves.
And because we are out of harmony within ourselves,
We project our pain on all that out there and those out there.
We blame.
Then we say,
You know what?
I've just about had it with so-and-so.
They are driving me nuts.
Or,
I got so hurt because so-and-so was so rude.
The examples go on and on.
We unconsciously project onto others what we are actually constantly doing to ourselves.
All of this hurt and all the behavior patterns we have developed have nothing to do with who we really are.
Underneath it all,
All the hurt parts of us really want is our acceptance.
Not when we get better,
Not when we are magically healed,
Not when we stop smoking or drinking or any other addictive behavior.
Now,
This moment,
Just as we are.
Whenever we start feeling bad,
It's just really us knocking on our own door to get our attention so we will stop ignoring ourselves and start embracing ourselves.
We must learn to encourage ourselves.
When you make a good choice,
Congratulate yourself.
When you make a mistake,
Choose to learn from it and congratulate yourself.
It may sound strange that we are to appreciate our fragmented self after all the hell they have caused in our life.
But as poorly as we may feel about them,
They've gotten us to this point.
It wasn't easy for them.
They got us here.
But now it's time to let them go.
It's your turn,
Your time,
To gather yourself in and embrace yourself.
Through truly accepting yourself,
A big shift is going to take place within you to where instead of feeling,
It's just me against the world,
It's going to be me recognizing all the different me's within,
And me becomes we,
Unity through embracing,
Unity through acceptance.
Now take a moment to adjust your position,
Making yourself comfortable in preparation for the meditation portion of this session.
Close your eyes.
Begin to notice your breath.
Notice your body.
Begin to release the tensions and thoughts of your day.
Allow yourself to become relaxed,
Breathing in vital life force,
Chi.
Open and expand your heart with breath and love.
Silently invite the presence of your spirit guides and teachers,
The angelic beings that are with you and for you in light and love.
Open yourselves to them in love.
Generate and express the life-giving frequencies of gratitude,
Of thanksgiving,
Of appreciation.
Now inhale and bring your awareness once again to your heart.
And upon exhaling,
Begin to feel yourself in the space around your body,
Your aura with love.
See,
Sense,
And feel your aura and your body filled with love.
And say within you,
To yourself,
I love me.
For a few moments,
Practice bathing in your own love for yourself and noticing how it feels.
Begin now to generate acceptance toward yourself.
Acceptance.
Acceptance.
You feel from acceptance as a vital living being that it is truly unconditionally embracing you.
You enjoy the feeling of acceptance being delighted with you.
You are allowing acceptance to pour its energy into you now.
Relaxing into this connection,
You feel yourself being completely accepted.
You are completely embraced by acceptance.
You are expanding into this feeling.
You can feel acceptance in every particle of your being.
It's right here with you.
It is so at ease with everything of you.
Acceptance.
Everything about you feels completely welcome.
Nothing is missed.
You are lovingly and completely accepted.
You are experiencing the intimacy of acceptance.
Allow yourself to settle into this embrace.
Now take one hand and place it gently at the center of your chest.
You can place the other hand over the first hand or place it somewhere else on your body that feels comfortable and connected.
Breathe into the contact and feel yourself sending love,
Acceptance and nurturing to yourself through your hand.
Feel yourself absorbing this love,
Acceptance and nurturing.
Continue to breathe,
Feeling this connection.
Say silently to yourself,
I can love me.
I can accept me.
I can feel loved.
I can feel accepted.
As you continue breathing into this connection,
Recognize that you have many different parts within you.
Some you like.
Some you don't like.
Some are nice.
Some are cruel.
Some are strong and some are weak.
Some are confident.
Some are afraid.
Yet all of the parts are you.
Silently say to yourself,
I accept and embrace all parts of me right here,
Right now.
I accept and embrace all parts of me right here,
Right now.
You may relax your hand position or keep your hands where they are,
However you feel comfortable.
Now turn these energies of gentle welcome,
Allowance and acceptance toward all parts of you in need of healing.
Be present with yourself.
Invite any parts of you feeling pain.
Find any parts ready to come forward to be met by you in this moment while you are safely held in this presence of complete acceptance.
As you generate this frequency of complete acceptance,
Let these parts of you come forward.
You won't have to search long.
When things come up,
You might hear yourself saying,
Well,
You know there's got to be something worse than that.
That's not really such a big deal.
That's really nothing.
Why bother with that?
But whatever comes up,
That's the door opener.
Be present with yourself and let it come forward.
On the other hand,
You may encounter some part of yourself with so much emotion that it feels intimidating to be present with.
Nothing will come forward that's too big for you to handle.
You are safe.
These parts are only seeking your embrace.
These parts of you are going to come to you just the way they were when you rejected them.
All you have to do is be honest with yourself.
Allow yourself to face whatever is hiding,
Whatever you have been so afraid of,
Whatever you have stuffed down inside.
Be present with it.
What you have stuffed down inside is not bigger than you.
It may feel like it.
It may seem like it.
But it isn't.
It isn't because it really isn't you.
It's just trapped energy you have identified with.
It's okay to let it go now.
Let whatever needs acceptance come forward to you now.
And set this intention.
I'm going to embrace myself.
I'm going to care for me.
I'm going to nurture me.
I'm going to let these parts of me know that I am never,
Ever going to abandon myself again.
This is what embracing yourself feels like.
This is what getting whole is.
Feel yourself accepting.
Feel accepted.
Feel acceptable.
You are becoming honest with yourself.
You are growing in clarity that there are many parts within you that are you.
You are opening yourself now to embrace any and all parts of you that you have abandoned,
Rejected,
And been in denial of.
You are bringing them into you and telling them with an intending sincerity.
It is my intention to never abandon you again.
I want you to know that I am here.
I am here for you right now.
I intend never to leave you again.
The past is over.
We are where we are now.
We are now in this embrace.
Let these parts authentically feel from you.
I am for you.
I am with you.
I accept you.
Feel yourself gently holding these parts.
Feel yourself embracing yourself in acceptance.
Feel yourself being embraced by acceptance.
You are taken care of.
You are nurtured and loved.
All parts of you can relax now into the all-embracing presence of acceptance.
Healing translates into wholeness.
Instead of living a fragmented existence,
You are bringing all the parts of you together within you and embracing them.
Your acceptance,
Love,
And appreciation transforms separation into unity.
You are accepting yourself as you are right now,
Including your strengths,
Your weaknesses,
Good points,
Bad points,
The whole sum of you,
Including your behavior,
Your awareness,
Including your higher self and your lower self,
Including your light and your dark,
Including everything.
You are now in this embrace.
You are embraced by acceptance.
You are embracing yourself.
You are saying to the parts within,
I embrace you.
I am here with you.
I love you.
It's all right for me to be me.
My resistance is temporary.
It does not last.
I can relax.
It's okay for me to be me.
I can love me.
I am embracing all of me.
It feels good.
It's good to be me.
It's so good to be me.
Feel the loving acceptance you are generating begin to affect you as you leave linear limitations behind and your awareness opens to other dimensions,
Other parts of your being.
Stimulating,
Activating your awareness,
Bringing you to a place of seeing more of who you are,
Opening in the awareness of your higher self,
Opening in the expanded awareness of the more of you and feeling a sense of ease and well-being in your own presence,
Feeling a sense of ease and well-being in your own presence and feeling a sense of ease and well-being in your own presence.
Now,
Lift your right hand and place it on your left shoulder and take your left hand and place it on your right shoulder and feel yourself embracing yourself just as lovingly as you would hold the most precious child.
You are worthy of your own love and acceptance.
Feel yourself embracing yourself in acceptance and love.
Feel yourself being embraced in acceptance and love.
It feels good.
It's good to be me.
It's so good to be me.
It's good to love me.
It's good to embrace me.
You may keep your hands where they are or release them as you wish.
Give thanks for your choice to participate in this experience and make an intention to continue to explore and experiment with embracing anything and everything you can with this visceral awareness of acceptance and love.
You are a magnificent being of light,
So worthy of your own love,
Care,
And appreciation.
You are loved.
You are loving.
You are lovable.
Begin to bring your awareness back into your physical body,
Back to the awareness of the space you're in,
Feeling gratitude for the connections made,
Gratitude for all that has been experienced,
Gratitude for all the help received,
And gratitude for your choice to participate.
Now taking your time and becoming more fully present in the here and now time space.
Gently and lovingly returning,
And gradually and gently begin to move your body as it's ready,
Bringing your attention back into this space,
And when you are ready,
Opening your eyes.
