To begin,
Find a comfortable position in a space where you feel soft,
Safe and supported.
Soften your gaze or close your eyes.
Begin to bring awareness to your breath.
Without changing a thing,
Notice the inhale and the exhale.
Inhale and exhale.
All is well.
Release any thoughts or feelings as you bring your full attention to your breath.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
As you continue to follow the breath,
Bring full awareness to the in-breath.
I am breathing in and full awareness to the out-breath.
I am breathing out.
Now let's deepen the breath a little bit more.
This time,
Inhale deeply,
Filling the lungs,
Filling the belly,
And exhale fully.
Arrive in your body.
You are safe here.
Now begin to imagine a soft green glow from your heart center.
Gently place the hands over the space where your heart beats.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
As you breathe in,
This light grows and surrounds your tender heart with warmth and love.
Each time you exhale,
Imagine letting go of any burdens on your heart.
As you do this,
Your heart becomes lighter through releasing these burdens through the breath.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale deeply.
As you inhale,
Allow that green light to grow and surround the heart space with warmth and love.
Arrive in your body.
You are safe here.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale fully.
Once more,
Filling the lungs.
Inhale deeply.
Exhale fully.
Imagining that green glow radiating outwards from the heart center,
Surrounding your whole body in a safe,
Warm,
Loving glow.
Inhale deeply and exhale fully,
Releasing any burdens on the heart.
As we close our practice,
Imagine a sense of gratitude and love for this practice.
Take a deep breath in.
Exhale.
