Morning ritual.
Having a morning ritual changed my life.
It may seem like an exaggeration,
But let me explain.
I used to be a late riser.
Since implementing a morning ritual into my life,
I feel motivated and look forward to waking up every morning.
I decided to select a ritual that allowed me to connect with my body and breath.
Before engaging with other people,
Working or doing anything else,
I make it a priority to nurture myself.
As soon as I wake up,
I go for a walk and do a qigong practice,
Connecting with my breath and gently moving my body.
This practice teaches me to slow down and consciously energize myself through gentle breathing and movements.
This simple ritual carries over to the rest of my day and life.
Throughout time,
I learned a valuable lesson.
We cannot be fully present with others if we do not take the time to be present with ourselves.
This ritual is a commitment to myself.
If the relationship I have with the person in the mirror is one of high quality,
It will naturally reflect onto my relationships with others.
We often try and implement diverse practices or transform our lives from one day to the other.
This approach can be overwhelming and most times we do not pull through.
One simple ritual is all it takes for you to feel better in your own skin.
From this,
Other positive habits will arise.
Bruce Lee once said,
Practice one kick a thousand times rather than a thousand times one kick.
Do you have a morning ritual?
If you do not,
I recommend starting one.
It may change your life.
