Peace and blessings.
I'm Rev.
Skip.
And welcome to this guided meditation for scanning the body.
And as you see,
I'm in my backyard and I'm just enjoying Mother Nature.
But this meditation can be done anywhere at any time.
So I invite you to stand up for this meditation.
And let's stand in what I call mountain pose.
And if you are a yogi,
You know this pose very well.
And I invite you to just spread your toes a little bit wider,
Really feel the earth underneath you,
And let your hands just drop right down towards the ground.
And I invite you to take a couple of deep breaths with me.
Inhale.
And a deep exhale.
Let's do that again to get a nice deep breath in.
And exhale.
And if you choose,
You can close your eyes or lower your gaze toward your heart.
And right now I just want you to begin to scan your body.
Start at the toes and the ankles and the feet.
Without judgment,
How do they feel today?
And just wiggle your toes and be aware of where you're standing.
Be aware of what the earth feels like underneath you.
Maybe you're in your house,
Your home.
And continue to scan the body,
Continue to scan the legs as you move up into your calves and your shins.
Again,
Without judgments,
How do they feel today?
And maybe you can even rock your ankles side to side and give a little bit of movement there.
How are they feeling?
And bring your awareness to your knees.
And maybe just bend one knee and lower the heel down and bend the other knee and lower the heel down.
Feeling the body temple as it is right now.
And maybe you begin to scan up into your thighs,
Your hips.
Your lower spine.
And just feel the feeling of what it feels like to stand.
And maybe bring your attention all the way into your shoulders.
You can roll your shoulders.
How does your shoulders feel today?
You can roll them to the front and then to the back.
Again,
Nothing's wrong.
It's just your awareness.
Bring your awareness into your arms and your hands.
Maybe wiggle your fingers.
And acknowledge your hands and your arms.
And bring your awareness into your neck and your head.
You can move side to side.
And now bring your attention to the body as a whole.
Do you want to experience in your healing?
Maybe there's a place in your body that is a feeling of dis-ease right now.
Take your mind and your spirit into that area that you're feeling challenged.
And we give thanks for the body temple.
Simple gratitude will elevate any type of healing.
Any feeling tones of love and joy is magnified through the body.
And what a beautiful day.
Take a deep breath in.
And a deep exhale.
Thank you for joining me on this guided simple meditation for scanning the body and giving gratitude.
Until next time,
I'm Rev Skip,
And remember,
Transformation is a choice.
Namaste.
