I would recommend using this meditation on the day of the solar eclipse or during the days that lead up to it.

This will support you in connecting with the energy and symbolism of this celestial event.

This meditation can also be used as a general practice for finding calm and grounding in the present moment,

Regardless of what's going on up in the astrological world.

I recommend sitting or lying down in a comfortable and relaxed position.

It's important to find a position that allows for you to be at ease and fully present during your time during this meditation.

If sitting,

You may choose to sit cross-legged or on a cushion or chair with your feet flat on the ground,

Keeping your spine straight and your shoulders relaxed.

If you're laying down,

You may choose to lie on your back with your arms by your sides,

Palms facing up,

And your legs uncrossed.

The most important thing is for you to find a position that feels comfortable and supportive for you.

This is the Golden Light Meditation for the Solar Eclipse by Kendra Bolden.

Begin by finding a quiet and comfortable place to sit or lie down.

Take a few deep breaths,

Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.

Allow for your body to release any tension that may be stored.

Allow for your body to relax.

Allow space for your awareness to drop down into your sacred heart space,

Continuing to release tension in your face,

Jaw,

Neck,

Shoulders,

Spine,

Feeling it melt away and release down into your hips,

Knees,

Ankles,

And feet.

Taking a deep inhale through your nose and out of your mouth,

Really allowing for the air to bless your body as it enters in through your nose and releasing whatever is not necessary for you to carry.

Thoughts,

Tensions,

Worries,

Allow them to be released on the exhale through your mouth,

Allowing yourself to sink a little bit deeper.

As the solar eclipse approaches,

It's natural to feel a sense of awe and wonder at how magnificent our universe is.

This celestial event is such a powerful reminder of the cyclical nature of life,

The constant ebb and flow of light and darkness.

So to support you during this time,

I invite for you to take a few moments to find just the most comfortable space for you to sit,

Relax,

And enjoy this meditation.

Allow for your eyes to close,

For your muscles to release,

Allowing yourself to become more present and centered,

Staying connected with your breath.

As you continue to breathe deeply and slowly,

Visualize a golden light surrounding you,

Enveloping you in a warm and protective cocoon.

Allow this light to fill you with a sense of calm,

Serenity,

Grounding,

Grounding you in this present moment.

And as you continue to breathe and visualize,

Visualize the sun and the moon aligning in the sky,

Creating a beautiful dance of light and shadow.

Imagine yourself as a part of this dance,

Moving with the rhythms of this universe and embracing the changes,

The transitions that come with each new phase.

As the eclipse reaches its peak,

Allow yourself to surrender.

Surrender to the beauty and the power of the moment.

Trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be and that everything is unfolding as it should.

Take a moment to notice,

Sense,

Feel,

Imagine,

Listen to,

And receive any messages that may come through and let them guide you on your path.

Feeling connected to your breath.

Feeling these energies dancing around you,

Through you,

Holding you and supporting you.

And when you are ready,

Slowly bringing your awareness back to the room,

To your breath.

You can do this simply by taking a few deep breaths and visualizing the connection to earth and your inner wisdom.

Bringing your awareness back to your breath by taking slow,

Deep inhales and exhales before you open your eyes.
