Welcome to this summer solstice yoga nidra.

On this longest day of the year,

The sun shines at its peak,

Inviting us to turn toward the light within and around us.

This is a time of expansion,

Celebration,

And clarity.

It is a moment to pause,

To breathe,

And to align with the energy of growth and gratitude.

Allow yourself now to settle into stillness.

Make any final adjustments to your body so you can rest completely.

There is nowhere to be,

Nothing to do.

Simply allow yourself to be held,

Supported fully by the earth beneath you.

Let the breath begin to slow.

Feel the rise and fall of your chest.

Let your whole body know it is safe to rest.

Take this moment to soften,

Even just 10% more.

Begin to listen to the sounds around you.

Notice any taste in the mouth.

Welcome any scents into your nostrils.

Feel the warmth or breeze touching your skin.

Let your eyes rest,

Lids heavy and soft.

Allow all sensations to arise and pass without effort.

Let thoughts come and go.

There is nothing to fix or change.

Everything is perfect just as it is.

Take three deep breaths with intention.

Inhale slowly through the nose.

Exhale fully,

Releasing any tension.

Inhale again,

Filling up completely.

And let it all go.

One final full breath in,

And a soft complete release.

Now let your breath settle into its natural rhythm.

Smooth,

Effortless,

And calming.

The summer solstice is a portal of light.

Ask yourself quietly,

What is ready to grow in my life?

What am I ready to shine light upon?

Let a simple,

Positive intention arise.

A clear,

Heartfelt statement made in the present tense.

Repeat your intention here to yourself three times.

Planting it like a seed in this fertile moment.

Now bring your awareness gently through your body.

One area at a time,

As it is named.

There is no need to move the physical body.

Let your attention rest in each place before moving on.

Beginning with the attention to the mouth.

The roof of the mouth.

Floor.

Throat.

Now the ears.

Left ear.

Right ear.

Sensing both ears at the same time.

The nose.

Feel the breath moving through the nostrils.

Both eyes together.

And the space behind the eyes.

The forehead.

The crown of the head.

Left shoulder.

Upper arm.

Elbow.

Forearm.

Wrist.

And fingers.

Right shoulder.

Upper arm.

Both arms together as one.

Now the upper chest.

Upper back.

Middle chest.

Middle back.

The whole front and back of the torso.

Bring your awareness to the legs.

Left hip.

Right hip.

Shin.

And toes of the right side.

Sensing both legs together.

Now the entire body at once,

From head to toe.

Left side.

And right side.

Front of the body.

And back.

The whole body resting.

Breathing.

Being.

If there is any place of tension,

Gently breathe into it.

Inviting softness and release.

Now allow your awareness to return to your breath.

Inhale.

And exhale effort.

Inhale ease.

Exhale holding.

Allow the breath to continue like this for another moment.

Inhaling lightness.

Exhaling anything from the season past.

Imagine now that you are outside on a warm sunny day.

The sun is high above you.

Bathing everything in golden summer light.

You feel its warmth on your skin.

You sense the radiance all around you and within you.

Visualize yourself standing or lying beneath this golden sun.

Safe.

Relaxed.

At ease.

Feel the sunlight pouring in through the crown of your head.

Flowing through your chest.

Your abdomen.

Your limbs.

All the way to your fingers and toes.

Let this inner light expand gently.

Filling your whole being.

Now hold this quiet image in your heart.

And allow any word,

Symbol,

Or color to arise that connects to your intention.

Let it come and go naturally.

No need to force or follow.

Just allow.

Begin to notice the breath again.

Just as it is.

Feel the gentle rise and fall.

And rest here in this moment of spacious sunlit presence.

Slowly begin to return to your body.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Take a deeper inhale.

Stretch gently if it feels good.

Before opening your eyes,

Recall your intention one more time.

Feel it alive within you.

As a guiding light for the season ahead.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes softly.

Carry with you the warmth,

Clarity,

And radiance of the summer solstice.

You are grounded.

You are expansive.

You are aligned with light.
