Good morning.
This short meditation is to create a positive start to your day,
Creating space for joy and energy.
Please find a comfortable position,
Keep your spine straight,
And allow your body to feel supported,
Yet alert.
Close your eyes or soften your gaze,
And take a deep breath as you feel your whole body.
Notice how you're supported by the surface beneath you.
Allow awareness to move through your body,
As you notice your entire body and mind present and awake.
Become aware of your natural breath,
No need to change it.
Just notice the gentle wave of breath this morning,
In and out.
Now imagine a warm golden light at the crown of your head.
With each breath,
This light flows down through your body,
Washing through your chest,
Softening your heart,
Flowing through your side body and hips,
Calming your nervous system all the way down your legs to your toes.
This light is resetting you for the day ahead,
Bringing balance and clarity.
Now begin to deepen your breath.
Feel yourself fully present in this moment,
As you mentally say to yourself,
I am awake,
Aware,
And ready for my day.
You might set your own intention now,
Either one word or a full statement in the present tense,
Repeating it to yourself.
As you feel ready,
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes,
Slowly opening your eyes,
Bringing this sense of calm awareness with you as you begin your day.
