Hi,
It's Stefania and welcome to Wisdom Bits,
Tiny bites of information to help you live the positive lifestyle that you deserve.
Today we've got a simple yet powerful quote to explore.
The author is unknown and the quote is,
Do not hurry.
Do not rest.
Go easy,
But go forward.
Let's take a moment to let those words sink in.
Let's feel them.
Let them land in our minds.
No rush,
No pressure,
Just forward movement,
One mindful step at a time.
It's easy to think that progress only counts when it's fast,
But we sometimes think that if we're not running at full speed,
Achieving,
Accomplishing,
Checking off our lists,
Leaving other people in the dust.
We sometimes feel if we're not doing those things that we are falling behind.
But I believe that real growth,
Emotional growth,
Physical growth,
Spiritual growth,
It happens in quiet,
Steady moments.
It doesn't happen overnight.
It doesn't happen the harder you push.
It happens in the pause between our breaths,
In the small choices that we make consistently,
In the gentle habits that we build day by day.
We don't have to run.
We don't.
This might contradict everything that we've been taught,
But we don't even have to know exactly where we are going.
What matters is that we keep showing up for ourselves gently,
Patiently,
And with purpose.
This idea of going slowly,
It doesn't refer only to speed.
It's also about how you treat yourself.
It's about self-care,
Self-love,
Self-respect,
And most importantly,
Something we often give to others but not to ourselves,
Self-encouragement.
Let's do the exercise.
We can do it tomorrow,
But just right now we can do it in another way.
Notice how you speak to yourself throughout the day.
Do you rush through your thoughts?
Do you criticize yourself harshly when things don't go perfectly?
We can look out for those points tomorrow,
But right now,
Take a minute.
First,
Let's just settle down,
Take a deep breath,
And we're just going to take a tiny bit of time to think.
How have we spoken to ourselves thus far this day?
Perhaps you're listening to this in the morning.
How have you spoken to yourself since you got out of bed and started moving around and beginning your day?
Perhaps you're listening to this in the evening.
In that case,
How did you do today?
How did you speak or think about the most important person you'll ever meet,
The one you meet in the mirror?
I ask you,
Talking to myself as well,
I ask you,
Speak to yourself going forward,
From now on,
As you would to a good friend,
Slowly,
Kindly,
Patiently.
Encourage yourself,
Celebrate those small wins,
Those things that you think,
No big deal.
It is a big deal.
Celebrate those small wins in your day.
They add up and remind yourself that every effort counts.
So now,
Time for another tiny exercise.
Think about,
Please,
One area of your life where you've been trying to rush or push too hard.
How does that feel?
Did you have any kind of physical or emotional reaction to the idea of doing that little exercise?
Did it make you feel tight?
Did it make you feel tense?
Or did you not feel anything?
If you felt a bit tense,
Imagine releasing that tension.
If you felt nothing,
If that makes you at peace,
All well and good.
But if you felt nothing because you didn't want to feel something,
Imagine releasing that tension as well.
Imagine speaking to yourself with gentle,
Encouraging words like,
You're doing just fine.
One step at a time is enough.
So let's,
Including me,
Let's make a promise today.
We're going to give ourselves permission to move slowly,
To breathe deeply in the middle of all of our busyness,
To breathe deeply,
And to do one small thing that keeps us aligned with who we're becoming.
Every tiny step matters.
Folding the laundry,
Writing one sentence in your journal,
Choosing a meal that really helps you,
Raises your vibe,
Raises your energy,
Sending a thoughtful message.
Every little action is a thread.
It's weaving the life you want to live.
Don't have to do it all at once.
If it's not going the way you like it,
It's okay to take that thread out and put in a new one.
So let's take a moment to really feel that new energy.
Feeling our breath rising,
Falling,
Rising,
Falling,
And the small but steady beat of our hearts.
Now let's do some affirmations.
You can listen,
You can repeat,
Whatever works best for you.
There are only a few,
Just four.
I move forward with calm confidence.
My pace is perfect for my path.
I speak to myself with patience,
Love,
And kindness.
Every breath,
Every step carries me closer to peace and purpose.
You are enough right here,
Right now,
Just as you are.
Sometimes we do forget life is not a race.
Your journey doesn't need to mirror anyone else's.
You don't need to rush to bloom.
Your growth is unique to you.
It's your own.
It unfolds in its own time.
How about if you think about a tree?
It doesn't push to grow taller overnight,
And it doesn't stress about where its branches will reach.
It just grows steadily,
Season by season,
Nourished by sun,
Soil,
Water.
You can do that in your own time.
In your own way.
Slowly,
Steadily,
Beautifully growing.
So let's remember that quote,
Go easy,
But go forward.
If you even have a little extra time,
Sometime during the day,
How about a little journaling on that idea?
What does it mean to you?
How can you make it part of your life?
Is it feasible?
If not,
Why and how can you correct or change,
Make adaptations?
Maybe you're fine as you are,
And that's good.
You're working already at your pace,
But if you're feeling a little bit discontented,
Have a thought.
Journal.
Have a think.
Think about the times that you treat yourself well.
Times that you do something good just for you.
Okay,
Let's take a deep breath,
And we're going to inhale slowly,
Going to hold it for a moment,
Then we're going to exhale completely.
In,
And exhale.
Let's calm ourselves.
We are worth this time.
Don't need to hurry,
But you don't need to rest forever.
Just need to move forward gently,
One mindful step at a time,
And speak well to yourself with patience,
Kindness,
And if you slip and you call yourself something unsavory,
That's okay.
Forgive yourself.
Move on.
You're worth it.
You're very well worth it.
You are amazing.
Just keep moving at your own pace,
And you'll do well.
Stay well.
That's it for this Wisdom Bits inspirational moment.
Take care of yourself.
Bye for now.
