Hi dear friend,
I'm Stephanie and as we begin I invite you to take the next few moments for yourself.
A time to give back to your body.
Your body which does so much for you on a daily basis.
To begin,
Find a space of comfort.
I suggest that you lie down and as you first begin to lie down keep the knees bent and your feet flat just until your back adjusts to this flat lying position.
Take a moment to just turn inward and listen to the breath.
The inhale and the exhale.
Just listening to the inhale and the exhale.
And as your body begins to release and let go,
Allow your legs to extend all the way down so that you are flat either on a mat or perhaps in bed.
And then allow your palms to turn upwards with your arms by your sides.
Beginning to release any tension from the facial features.
Relaxing the forehead and the eyes and the cheeks.
And then gently release the mouth and the tongue.
As you soften the tongue the body will begin to follow and completely let go.
Continue to release through the throat and the neck.
And all the way down into the shoulders.
From the shoulders to the elbows.
From the elbows to the wrists.
And feeling every finger just simply soften.
As you continue to release the tongue,
As you continue to melt into this flat lying position,
Releasing through the chest and the abdomen,
And following along the spine one vertebra at a time,
Completely letting go.
Release and soften into the hips,
Tops of the legs,
Down to the knees,
Knees to the ankles,
And from the ankles to the toes.
Giving your body permission to completely let go.
As the body begins to find an even softer place from within,
Allow yourself once again to follow the breath.
Just listening to the breath.
And then slowly,
Slowly,
Slowly,
Listening,
As the air comes in,
And as you exhale.
Again,
Inhale.
And with the next few exhales,
Let that out breath take with it any tension,
Any discomfort,
And any pain.
And let that breath continue to flow effortlessly.
And if you can imagine the water coming up onto the shore of the beach,
That breath comes in.
And as that water again returns out into the ocean,
So does the flow of the breath.
Gently in,
And gently out.
Gently in,
And gently out.
And begin to let yourself drift off to a place of calm,
To a place of comfort.
Perhaps a beautiful meadow filled with vibrant flowers.
Gently just drifting from side to side as the breeze flows by.
Or perhaps on that beach,
Lying back in the warmth of the sand,
With that beautiful blue azure sky above.
The warmth from that sun touching down.
And perhaps that gentleness of a breeze that comes up and off the ocean.
That salty air.
Or perhaps in the mountains,
Inside a beautiful cabin,
With a wonderful fireplace,
And a fire that gently roars.
Perhaps you find yourself on a sofa with a beautiful blanket covering you,
And the warmth from underneath the blanket,
And the warmth from the fireplace,
Allowing you to rest,
To find peace and comfort from within.
Whatever environment you choose,
Allow yourself to be transported there at this time.
And allow yourself to see and feel your surroundings,
Surrounded by peace,
By quiet,
And by warmth.
Continue to let yourself just simply release.
And take the next few moments for this sense of calm.
And allow yourself to just be.
And let yourself just be.
And let yourself just be.
And let yourself just be.
And let yourself just be.
And let yourself just be.
Very slowly and quietly,
As you begin to bring your awareness back to this place,
To this time,
Wiggle fingers,
Wiggle toes,
And acknowledge the movement within each finger and within each toe.
And then gently reaching the arms up and the toes down,
Extend the whole body,
And allow yourself to yawn,
Taking in that breath,
And slowly draw those knees up into your chest and hug the knees,
Bringing your awareness back to this place,
To this time.
And as always,
I thank you for joining me today and wish you only the best of health.
