Hello,

Dear friend.

I'm Stephanie,

And today I invite you to join me for just a few moments to release any tension,

Any discomfort,

Any pain in the body.

This meditation is during the workday,

Perhaps at the beginning of your day or a little break in the middle of your day or at the end when you're about to wrap up so that you can allow the body the time it needs to relax,

To rest,

And to rejuvenate.

So as we begin,

Find a comfortable position in a chair.

Place your feet on the floor,

Sitting up tall so the spine is lifted,

The crown of the head is lifted,

And your chin is slightly down.

And then I'd like for you to take your right hand and just gently place that over your heart and your left hand over the abdomen,

And keeping the hands right where they are,

Taking in a nice full breath.

And as you take the breath in,

You can feel the right hand over the heart just gently lifting and then the left hand over the abdomen.

And as you exhale,

You'll feel that left hand coming back in on top of the abdomen and the right hand resting comfortably over the heart.

Taking a couple more breaths just like this and feeling that breath as you connect to the heart and to the abdomen.

Each inhale and each exhale.

Take a moment now and just feel the hands to the heart,

To the abdomen,

As you bring that oxygen in through the body and release gently.

Gently.

Inhaling and exhaling.

If you choose,

You can go ahead and let the eyelids begin to close gently.

As you release all the facial features,

Unclench your teeth,

Relax your mouth and your jaw and your throat.

Let the shoulders simply melt away from the ears and rest your hands now down on top of your legs,

Palms turned up,

Perhaps wiggling the fingers,

Releasing the wrist,

Relaxing those elbows and feeling the whole upper body beginning to let go.

Relaxing now through the legs,

Tops of the legs to the knees,

Knees to the ankles and the ankles to the toes.

And as you turn inward for a moment,

Take that next breath with awareness of the breath coming in.

And as you exhale,

Imagine your body releasing any tension,

Any stress,

Any discomfort.

Any discomfort.

Gently letting go.

And gently begin to wiggle fingers,

To wiggle toes,

Perhaps letting those eyelids flutter to take in small portions of the room.

Bring those arms all the way up overhead or out to your sides,

Stretching through to the tips of your fingertips,

A nice big breath in.

As you exhale,

Just let a nice sigh release everything.

And allow yourself to simply be present.

As always,

Only the best of health.

Thank you for joining me.

I had a stressful day at work, but thanks to this short and sweet track, I was able to reset myself. Didn’t even think in only 5 minutes I would feel better, but I did!

Quick and really effective, it was perfect to take some distance and get back to the present in the middle of a very stressful day.

Very short and effective break during the day. I love the “hello friends” that starts each of her meditations. This simple greeting is warm and helps me connect with the meditation.
