Let your shoulders soften,

Let the muscles around your eyes relax.
Take a slow inhale,
And a long,
Gentle exhale.
Let yourself arrive in this moment.
No past,
No next.
Just here.
Just now.
Feel the weight of your body.
Feel the floor,
The chair,
The bed beneath you.
Feel gravity doing the heavy lifting,
Literally.
Bring one hand to your belly if that feels good.
Let your breath drop lower,
Like you're reminding your body that it's safe to slow down.
Inhale for the count of 4.
Exhale for the count of 6.
We'll do that again.
Inhale 2,
3,
4.
Exhale 2,
3,
4,
5,
6.
Let your whole system settle on the exhale.
Now imagine your thoughts like snow in a snow globe.
The moment you stop shaking it,
Everything gently drifts downward.
You don't need to force your mind to be empty.
You just let things settle.
Let the inner noise soften.
Let what's important rise slowly.
And let everything else wait.
Take one more slow breath here.
Bring your attention to the center of your chest,
Not forcing it open,
Just noticing it.
Imagine a small warm light there.
Steady,
Quiet,
Like your inner pilot light.
Let this warmth expand with each inhale and soften with each exhale.
Silently say to yourself,
I am here.
I am steady.
I can start again.
Allow those words to land exactly how they need to.
Take one last deep breath in.
Let it go with a long exhale.
Notice any shift.
A little more space,
A little more softness,
A little more you.
When you're ready,
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Let your eyes open if they were closed.
You're reset.
You can move into whatever's next with a steadier mind and a softer body.
