Hi Love,

I'm Teresa.

This is a short meditation for anyone who feels like rest,

Ease,

Or goodness has to be earned.

If you've been carrying a quiet sense of pressure,

Even during a season that's meant to be gentle,

You're not alone.

Let's take a few minutes to soften together.

Begin by finding a comfortable position,

Seated or lying down,

And let your body arrive just as it is.

Notice the places where you're being held,

The chair beneath you,

The floor,

The surface supporting your back or legs.

You don't need to adjust or improve anything.

Take a slow breath in through your nose,

And let it out through your mouth.

I can slower this time,

Inhale,

And exhale,

Letting your shoulders drop just a little.

Now gently bring your attention to your chest,

Not forcing,

Just noticing.

Many of us carry an old belief that says,

I can rest after I finish.

I can soften once everything is handled.

I can enjoy this when I've earned it.

And yet,

Your nervous system doesn't work that way.

It restores first.

And from that place,

Life becomes more manageable.

Place one hand over your heart if that feels okay,

Or anywhere your body naturally reaches.

And quietly,

Inwardly,

Say,

I don't have to earn this season.

And let those words land,

Not as an argument,

But as an offering.

Notice if your breath changes,

If your belly softens,

If there's even a small release somewhere in your body.

And say it again gently,

I don't have to earn this season.

You are allowed to receive warmth,

Rest,

And goodness simply because you are here.

Take one more slow breath in.

And as you exhale,

Feel your weight drop slightly downward into the earth,

Into the chair,

Into the support beneath you.

Let yourself be held for a few quiet moments.

When you're ready,

Gently wiggle your fingers or toes,

Bringing yourself back into the room.
