Begin by allowing yourself to relax as much as you can wherever you are right now.
Invite a sense of ease and relaxation into your body and take a long deep breath,
Fill up your lungs and let go of anything you've been carrying and let your attention transition from your thoughts and your feelings to your breath.
Just notice your breath for a moment.
Let it relax now into its own natural rhythm and rest your awareness in your breath.
Just feel the body breathing.
Notice that you're already aware of this moment without any tension or effort.
Your awareness is always and already functioning.
You're just bringing your attention to it.
Acknowledge awareness without trying to grasp it or understand it.
You don't need to make awareness more aware.
You're simply noticing that it's already there.
Notice that thoughts come and go,
But awareness remains.
Sights and sounds,
Feelings come and go,
But awareness remains.
It remains and it's invisible.
You can't see it,
But it sees.
You can't hear it,
But it is hearing.
Notice that your whole mentally constructed identity,
Your whole idea of yourself is an ephemeral momentary arising within the space of awareness.
Notice that you are always here,
But as something far more fundamental than your ideas of yourself.
What's always here,
Not a thing,
Not a sound,
Not a thought or a feeling.
It's the open,
Quiet expanse of awareness and over the course of your day,
Invite yourself to pause,
To breathe,
And to notice that whatever is arising is being witnessed and held by awareness,
The awareness that you are.
Be well,
My friend.
