Sometimes we do not take care of ourselves emotionally. We tend to overlook our qualities, dwell into self-criticism, or believe that we’re not enough for some reason. In this meditation, we’ll shift your perspective to see the good qualities within you that others see every day.

Hello,

Sometimes we do not take care of ourselves emotionally,

We tend to overlook our qualities,

Dwell into self-criticism or believe that we are not enough for some reason.

But it's not true,

Each of us are unique and serve to greater good on this earth.

In this meditation we'll shift your perspective to see the good qualities within you that others see every day,

The purpose of this practice to embrace the good that you have overlooked and see how loveable you really are.

Let's begin by finding a comfortable seated position,

Either in a chair or on floor.

Inhale deeply and a long exhale out.

Now gently close your eyes and start to relax your facial muscles.

Let go of any tension in your forehead.

Allow your eyes to be heavy.

Unclench your jaw.

Allow your tongue to be softened in your mouth.

Drop your shoulders.

Notice that you are breathing.

Notice your heart beating in your chest.

Gently relax your body and your mind.

Remember you are exactly where you need to be.

Let go of any to-do lists and thoughts prevent you to be here in this moment.

Inhale and exhale.

Now choose someone in your life who truly loves you.

If you have trouble thinking of someone,

Try choosing a person that you knew previously or briefly who made you feel seen and accepted.

Or you can even choose your pet if you have one.

Now imagine you and this person sitting across from each other,

Beholding one another.

Begin to see yourself through this person's eyes,

Focusing on the good qualities he or she sees in you and this person's love for you.

Take your time to acknowledge until you can really see and feel what this person sees and feels for you.

Really taking the good of this experience.

Savouring the love,

Worthiness and good that exists within you.

Let go of any to-do lists and thoughts prevent you from feeling like you are here in this moment.

When you are ready gently open your eyes and come back to yourself and notice how it feels to possess these good qualities.

If you wish,

Write down these good qualities and read them to remind yourself how precious you are after this practice.

Take another deep inhale and a big long exhale out.

Before you finish up the meditation don't forget to thank yourself to take this time for your own well-being and self-worth.
