This is a grounding morning meditation designed to help you feel steady, connected, and energetically supported as you start your day. You’ll be guided through grounding into the Earth, connecting to the Universe, and using the heart as a bridge between the two. The practice includes gentle visualisation, body awareness, and intention-setting, supporting a calm and centred mindset for the day ahead.

Transcript

Take a moment to find a comfortable position where your body feels supported and safe.

You might sit up with your back supported or you may still be lying in bed.

Both are perfectly okay for this practice.

You might like to rest your hands softly in your lap or you can place one hand over your heart and the other over your belly.

A simple gesture of presence.

When you are ready let your eyes close gently or soften your gaze and allow your attention to turn inwards.

Begin by taking a slow steady breath in through your nose and let it fall away through your mouth.

With each exhale feel yourself arriving more fully into your body into this present moment As you breathe in feel the ribs widen,

The belly soften and exhaling fully releasing anything you don't need or want to carry into this day.

Allow your breath to find its own natural rhythm now and begin to bring your awareness to the points of contact between your body and the surface supporting you.

Allowing yourself to soften to drop out of effort and into connection.

Now imagine gentle roots extending from the soles of your feet or from the base of your spine.

Slow steady roots that begin to move down through the floor of the room you are in out and down through all the layers of the earth.

These roots travel easily,

Naturally and with purpose all the way to the core of mother earth where a smoky quartz protective crystal waits for you to anchor yourself.

See your roots now tying and wrapping themselves around this crystal.

Sense the moment they connect however that shows up for you today.

Feel the sense of being plugged in at the very heart of this planet and notice what happens in your body as you choose to connect here.

With each inhale begin to draw the earth's nourishment up through your roots visualizing mother earth lovingly giving you her energy of steadiness,

Safety and belonging.

With each breath allowing her grounding energy to rise up into your feet,

Your calves,

Your thighs up into your hips and belly,

Your chest and down your arms and all the way up to the very top of your head.

Feel mother earth energy anchoring you and your physical body in support and stability.

This is your first home,

Your first home,

Your body held by the earth.

Breathe.

From this space of grounded holding gently bring your awareness now to the very top,

The crown of your head.

Visualize your crown opening up just like a flower blooming and that from this opening imagine a single golden thread extending upwards from the crown.

It rises effortlessly stretching up into the vastness above you.

This golden thread's job is to connect you to the expansive divine energy of the universe.

See your thread now reaching up and up until it finds your higher self,

That loving presence that sees you clearly with love and without judgment.

Visualize your higher self in any way that makes sense to you but see them now receive your golden thread and notice the quality of your connection.

Perhaps you sense lightness,

Warmth,

Tingling or simply a quiet knowing that you are being held now by something bigger.

You are grounded to mother earth through your roots and you are connected to the divine through your golden thread.

Breathe.

And gently bring your awareness now to the center of your chest,

Your beautiful and sacred heart space.

Begin to imagine your breath moving in and out through your heart and you might picture a soft golden light beginning to glow in your heart space.

With each inhale see the light begin to get brighter and with each exhale see the light within begin to grow and expand.

Fill in your whole chest area.

Each inhale gently opening the space within your heart and each exhale gently releasing any tightness,

Tension or stress that the heart may be carrying.

As your heart light begins to expand see it fill in your chest,

Shoulders,

Arms and hands.

Let it rise into your throat,

Your face,

Your jaw and give it permission to help you soften the mind.

Breathe.

Feel in the energy of the earth traveling up your roots,

The energy of the universe coming down through your crown,

Seeing both energies meeting in your heart space.

Your heart is the bridge.

Take a moment now to just sense this space and energy.

This is you coming home to yourself beneath the noise,

Beneath the rolls and beneath the to-do lists of the day.

Calm,

Centered energy.

Breathe and begin to imagine your heart light forming a gentle energetic boundary around you.

Around your physical body.

A soft field that allows in what nourishes and filters out what doesn't belong to you today.

With each breath visualize this protective energy bubble surrounding you in your wholeness.

To the left,

To the right,

In front,

Behind,

Above and below.

You are held in all directions.

Affirming in your mind.

I am grounded in my body.

I am connected to something greater.

I am guided by my heart.

My energy is protected and so it is.

Breathe.

From this place of connection,

We are going to bring to mind the day ahead.

Not rushing into plans or tasks,

But to simply ask,

How do I want to feel today?

How do I want to experience today?

Allow an intention to arise naturally from within your heart space now.

Inviting in a quality rather than a goal.

Perhaps it's steadiness,

Compassion,

Presence,

Self-trust or something else entirely.

But trust what comes up through your intuition now and allow this intention to settle into your heart space.

Noticing how your body responds.

Perhaps a softening,

A warmth or a quiet yes.

But imagine this intention now gently infusing with your heart space energy.

Becoming part of your essence for the day ahead.

With ease and without effort,

This intention will guide you today.

That whatever your day may bring,

You can come home to yourself again and again throughout the day just by remembering your intention and connecting back with your heart.

Know that every breath is a doorway back to the intentions of your heart.

Now when you are ready,

Take a nice deep breath into the body and let it go.

Begin to gently bring awareness back into the space you are in and bring gentle movement back to your body.

Perhaps a small stretch,

A roll of the shoulders or a softening of the hands.

Sense your roots beneath you still strong,

Still grounded.

Sense the golden thread above you light,

Present,

Steady.

And between them your heart as the bridge radiant,

Alive,

Protected.

You are ready for this day.

Take one final deep breath in now through your nose and a slow grounding exhale through the mouth.

And when you are ready,

Gently flutter your eyes open ready to meet this new day.

Step into your day carrying this sense of being anchored,

Guided and at home within who you are.
