Hello,

Love.

It's time to come home.

Wherever you're at in the world and whatever you're navigating today,

This week,

This month,

This season,

I trust that you've found this session at perfect timing,

In perfect alignment.

Thank you,

God.

Thank you,

Universe,

For bringing me here.

We trust all is aligned in perfect timing for you.

When we think of home,

We often might have a memory pop up of a childhood home,

A grandmother's home,

Maybe the home you're in now.

Wherever home might mean or look like or feel like for you,

My invitation today is that you come home to yourself,

That you drop in today and in this moment,

And join me in taking a couple of deep breaths,

Maybe putting one hand on your heart,

One hand on your belly,

And just breathing into that deep space,

And inhale,

And exhale.

Welcome home.

You are your home.

And then wherever you may travel,

Wherever life may take you,

Whether you live within minutes of the home you grew up in or in a completely different space somewhere else around the world,

You might be traveling.

You might be in a home that you love.

You might be in a home that isn't your space for much longer or doesn't feel like an alignment.

But we come home and come home to ourselves again and again and again.

So again,

One hand on your heart,

One on your belly,

If you're able to close your eyes and just take a couple of deep breaths,

Feel your heartbeat,

Feel your home.

Your heartbeat is your home.

You are home.

I had this thought many years ago,

I shared it with an audience,

And I asked this question.

I invited them to think about where's the safest space you've ever been or ever felt.

And again,

For some,

That might be a grandparent,

Your parents' home,

Where you're at right now in your sweetheart's arms,

Maybe a chapel or a sacred spiritual place for you.

But when you think about this,

And as I asked this audience to think about where they felt safest,

Their safest space,

I invited them to cross the mental bridge of what if you could become the safest space that you know?

And there were these little like,

Aha,

Little light bulbs happening.

I know for myself,

In this world,

That's beautiful and amazing,

And at times chaotic and all the feels,

Right?

Times when my own anxiety can become high or heightened.

And I feel like,

Ooh,

I just want to find a safe space.

I come home to myself again and again,

This practice of like,

That's right.

Come home.

Oftentimes in life,

We're looking for validation,

Our worth,

Safety in other people or other places,

And there's nothing wrong with that.

And absolutely,

There are other people in other spaces.

We feel safe,

Nurtured,

Validated.

We feel at home there too.

But practicing being at home in your own skin,

With your own heart,

Your own heartbeat,

Your own breath,

Breath of life,

And that you practice coming home to you again,

Again,

And again.

And that you nourish those roots,

You nourish that foundation that feels like home.

Sometimes my self-talk,

When I'm looking for that added nourishment or I'm self-soothing,

As I come home to myself,

Repeat after me in your own thoughts for you.

It's safe here.

I've got you.

It's safe here.

I've got you.

I see you.

I hear you.

I love you.

What do you need,

Sweetheart?

And then honoring what may come up.

My invitation to you today,

And this day,

And as many days in the future as you want to come back to this,

Let's just breathe together for a few more moments.

Come home to yourself.

Feel the air in your lungs,

In your belly,

In your body.

Exhale.

Feel your hand on your heart,

Your heartbeat.

Come home.

Come home to you.

What if you could be the safest place you know?

Wherever you might be in the world,

Wherever you might go,

You can practice this,

Coming home again,

And again,

And again.

Welcome home,

My friend.

This is so inspiring and such a beautiful practice. I realized while meditating to this, that every place, every space that I’ve called home before felt like home because of ME, and how I decided to take up space there. I am the secret ingredient, my very own home.

Simple but lovely. Especially since I just got home from travel and am struggling with the concept of home. Definitely will do again.
