Vajradevi has been a practising Buddhist for 37 years, and teaching meditation and Buddhism for 27 years. She was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Community in 1995 and has also spent over a year in Myanmar on retreat with Sayadaw U Tejaniya. She leads meditation retreats in the UK and Europe. Her first book 'Uncontrived Mindfulness' was recently published by Windhorse Publications. Her teaching emphasises a very receptive approach to meditation, and mindfulness with a strong insight dimension.

Thank you for your wise counsel. I meditate with a painful body these days. It is difficult to release my mind from a feeling of resistance. Your meditation is very helpful. I will stay with it for a few mornings.

Thank you for this meditation. How does one deal with sensations of pain in the body? Awareness is constantly called back to these areas and pain tends to cause tension and even resistance. I would be grateful for any suggestions you may have to let go.
