Welcome,
Everyone.
This is a meditation for deep rest.
My name is Vera.
Let's take a moment to arrive wherever you are.
Allow your body to settle,
Supported by the surface beneath you.
Gently start to close your eyes,
Or soften your gaze.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
Exhale slowly through your mouth.
Let the breath return to its natural rhythm.
Now bring your awareness to the crown of your head.
Imagine a gentle wave of relaxation,
Washing downward,
Softening your forehead,
Your jaw,
Your shoulders.
Feel your arms,
Your chest,
And your belly releasing any tension.
Let this wave move through your hips,
Legs,
All the way to your toes.
Your whole body rests,
Heavy,
Calm,
And supported.
There's nothing you need to do.
Just breathe.
Just be.
Notice the rise and fall of your breath,
Calm entering into your body.
Exhale,
Tension melting away.
Each breath takes you deeper and deeper into stillness.
Now imagine yourself in a peaceful place,
A quiet forest,
A warm beach,
Or beneath you,
An open sky.
Here you are safe.
You are home.
Let the earth hold you,
And let every breath renew.
Slowly begin to deepen your breath again.
Move your fingers and toes.
Bring one hand to your heart,
One hand to your belly.
Feel the calm you have created within you.
When you're ready,
You can open your eyes and carry this deep rest into your body.
Into your day.
Namaste.
