Feeling judged stings.
It bites at our very core.
It's blatantly telling us we don't measure up,
Or fit certain expectations.
Before turning your attention to whether or not there are any changes you need to make as a result of the judgment,
Take a moment to pause.
Close your eyes.
Where in your physical body are you feeling the judgment?
Jaw?
Gut?
Chest?
Several places?
No places?
Send your breath there.
If you don't feel it anywhere particular,
Send your breath to your heart center.
Repeat the following statements,
Silently or out loud.
Experiencing judgment is a part of life.
Sometimes there will be truth in the judgment.
Sometimes it will be unwarranted.
I can choose to remember this feeling of judgment is temporary.
This judgment does not define me.
Bring your awareness back to the feeling of judgment.
Imagine now that you felt it,
It is free to evaporate,
Leaving behind a stillness and sense of ease.
Take three rounds of breath to release this experience,
And then open your eyes.
