
Choosing The Peace Deep Within
Once we slow down the breath and quieten the mind, we can see that we all have the choice to follow our mind or to follow something deeper. This meditation gives you the chance to follow something deeper, a greater intelligence than the mind.
Transcript
Keep your eyes closed.
Start to observe your breath.
Keep your mind engaged on each in-breath.
Keep your mind engaged on each out-breath.
Allow the breath to guide you towards stillness,
Towards silence.
Follow the path of the breath as you breathe in,
As you breathe out.
Notice how the thoughts lose their significance.
Notice how the thoughts lack peace,
Contradict each other,
Are always changing.
How the thoughts are rapid,
They hold no peace.
But observing your breath,
You start returning to your natural state,
Which is peace.
Keep the awareness now just at the tip of the nose.
Feel the breath as it enters the nostrils.
Feel the breath as it leaves the nostrils.
Feel stillness,
Silence growing within.
Breathe in.
Take the awareness now to the ribcage.
Feel the ribcage expand.
Breathe out.
Feel the ribcage contract.
Connect to the breath.
Connect to the stillness within.
The ribcage expands,
Contracts.
And feel the breath now at the lungs.
Feel oxygen entering as you breathe in,
Reaching into the lungs,
To the alveoli,
The sacs that connect the breath to the blood,
To allow the oxygen from the lungs,
From the breath,
To reach into the blood and into the body.
And as you breathe out,
Feel the waste products entering the blood,
Reaching the lungs,
Turning to carbon dioxide and leaving via the breath.
So you're not just breathing via the lungs,
By the bronchioles,
The air passages,
Via the nose,
The nostrils.
You're breathing via the whole body as oxygen enters into the bloodstream,
As carbon dioxide leaves via the bloodstream.
The whole body is involved in the breathing and the mind is not conscious of this.
We go beyond the mind in order to breathe,
In order to focus on the breath.
We realize that the mind is not significant.
There's a greater energy within.
Continue to observe the breath,
Feeling how the entire body is breathing,
Absorbing carbon dioxide on the out breath,
Absorbing oxygen on the in breath.
Carbon dioxide leaves as you breathe out.
Oxygen enters as you breathe in.
Continue to observe how the whole body is involved in the breath,
How an intelligence that's beyond the mind is involved in the breathing.
Observe the rhythm of the in breath and the out breath.
Connect to the stillness deep within.
Continue to connect to the stillness.
Feel the breath enter.
Feel the breath leave.
Feel how the breath is guiding you towards the greater energy within,
The greater energy that controls all of the processes within the body.
Digestion,
The flow of blood,
The circulation to every single organ,
How it allows for the immune system to constantly protect you,
How it allows for the cells within the body to constantly renew,
How it controls the millions of complicated processes within you,
Taking you beyond the mind.
You realize that the mind has no importance.
The greater intelligence controls everything.
You can trust the greater intelligence.
Feel how it takes you towards peace.
When you're not focused on the mind,
Just peace exists.
And the breath is guiding you here towards this awareness of peace.
You continue to follow the path of the in breath,
The path of the out breath,
Feeling how the entire body is involved in the breathing.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
And allow the breath to bring you to stillness.
Feel the movement in the ribcage,
In the lungs as you breathe in,
As you breathe out.
The breath is directing you,
Guiding you towards complete stillness.
And this stillness is where you belong.
You breathe in,
You breathe out.
The breath is guiding you now to a deeper place of stillness,
A place of white light.
And you feel this white light taking over your entire body.
You feel stillness,
White light deep within.
You feel the white light expanding throughout your body,
Into each cell,
Into each molecule.
You feel the white light deep within,
You feel yourself in stillness,
In silence.
The white light expands into every cell,
Every molecule within your body,
Bringing with it a deep sense of peace,
Taking you back to your roots,
Your original nature,
Which is simply peace.
The breath guides you to stillness,
The stillness that's beyond the mind.
The white light fills every part of your body,
Every cell,
Every molecule.
And as you remain in the white light here,
You feel the peace,
The stillness here.
You make a decision,
A decision to keep your consciousness always in peace,
To be beyond the mind,
To observe the mind,
But not to react to it,
Just to watch it,
But to continually return to the state that feels the most natural,
The happiest for you,
The state that's most full of love,
And that's this state beyond the mind,
Where you connect back to the white light within,
The greater intelligence within that's beyond the mind.
You decide that you can return to the mind when you need to use it,
But you're just an observer of it.
You're not reacting to it and it changes.
It can be there to guide you through tasks,
But that you don't want to be controlled by the mind anymore.
You want to remain in stillness,
In silence.
You want to simply be an observer of the mind,
But to keep your consciousness,
Your awareness here,
At this point of peace,
At this white light that exists deep inside,
You feel your entire body filled with this white light.
This is who you truly are.
The white light deep within,
Beyond the thoughts,
Beyond the mind,
Connected to the greater intelligence within,
Connected to the intelligence that doesn't need the mind,
The intelligence that just is.
This is who you truly are,
The peace deep within.
And you take the decision to remain connected to the peace deep within,
To always keep your consciousness here,
To be beyond the mind,
To be in peace,
Always observing the mind,
Not being controlled by the mind,
Constantly being in peace,
Constantly being in stillness.
The breath continues to guide you to stillness,
To your original nature,
To the white light deep within,
That's connected to the greater intelligence beyond the mind.
You see nothing but white light within,
Within every cell,
Every molecule.
This is who you truly are,
Peace,
Stillness.
You just remain connected to the white light.
You see nothing but white light within,
And you make the decision to just be,
Keeping this decision and this feeling with you,
Promising yourself to be beyond the mind,
To be connected to the greater intelligence,
The peace,
The stillness,
That's your original nature,
Promising yourself to observe the white light within yourself,
Within every cell,
Every molecule,
Every organ,
Within you,
Keeping this promise to remain always peaceful.
You rub both hands together,
Generating warmth in the palms.
You take the bottoms of the palms over the eyes,
You bring warmth back into the eyes.
You still keep this feeling of peace within.
You continue to observe the white light within each cell,
Within each molecule,
And then you slowly move the hands away,
Slowly opening the eyes.
