Hello and welcome to this bedtime gratitude meditation.
So just relax,
Get comfortable into your sleep position.
Feel into the weight of your body in your bed.
Take a moment just to check in with yourself.
How are you feeling right now?
If you're holding any tension,
I'd like to invite you to let this go.
And without any judgement,
How's your mind right now?
And we'll just begin with three deep mindful breaths.
So,
Breathing in.
.
.
And releasing.
.
.
And breathing in.
.
.
And letting go.
.
.
And last time breathing in.
.
.
And letting go.
.
.
You may now surrender into an open state of awareness.
You are exactly where you need to be at this moment in time.
And if at any point you fall asleep before the end of the practice,
That's also perfectly fine.
So I'd like to invite you to reflect on your day.
How did it go?
Perhaps it went really well?
Perhaps you encountered a number of challenges?
Have a think about the people you encountered during this day.
And if you like,
Say a quiet thank you to each person for brightening your day or perhaps teaching you something.
How has the weather been today?
You can thank the sun for shining or you can thank the rain for watering the plants.
Think about what you did today.
You can maybe cultivate some gratitude for your work,
For supporting you or some free time you spent for restoring.
If you even feel that you wasted time,
Acknowledge that maybe there's something to learn about your mind.
Thank you for showing me this.
Thank you for teaching me this.
And your family and friends,
Maybe you were in contact with them today,
Maybe not.
Just thank them for being part of your life.
Thank you for the foods you ate today to nourish and fuel your body.
Thank you for the roof over your head.
Thank you for your cosy bed,
The blankets that are covering you,
Comforting you,
Keeping you warm.
Thank your body for everything it's done today,
How hard it's worked and cooperated with you throughout the day.
It's now allowed to rest.
With everything that you've done,
You too can rest.
You are here,
You are safe and you are loved.
Thank you for being part of my life.
Thank you for being part of my life.
