Welcome to quietening your mind.
So just take a moment to settle in.
Nowhere you need to go,
You can simply arrive here.
Let the day just pause around you,
Even if only for a little while.
So find your comfy space,
Warm and cozy,
And gently close your eyes.
Just begin to notice your breath,
Just as it is.
No need to change it,
No need to control it.
And with your next breath in,
And as you breathe out,
Just allow your shoulders to soften,
Your jaw to release,
Your body to begin to soften just a little.
Now,
Your mind may still be busy with thoughts moving,
Worries or concerns,
Things that are asking for your attention.
And that's okay.
You don't need to quiet your mind completely.
And you don't need to fix anything right now.
So just for this moment,
You can let things be just as they are.
Now just see your thoughts like clouds slowly drifting across the sky,
Appearing and then passing.
You don't need to follow them.
You don't need to hold on to them,
But just allow them to move on in their own time.
And if a thought feels heavier or more persistent,
Just see yourself gently placing it down,
As if you're setting something aside that you've been carrying.
For now,
It's okay to just let it rest.
And as you sit here,
You might begin to notice small moments of space between your thoughts,
Even if it's just a brief pause,
A quiet gap.
And this is where your mind really begins to soften because you have allowed it.
So you don't have to carry everything all at once.
You don't have to solve everything today.
And you don't have to hold it all by yourself.
For now,
You can simply be here,
Breathing,
Resting,
Allowing.
Some thoughts may return,
But just notice they feel a little softer now,
A little less urgent.
Just like waves that rise and fall back into the ocean.
They come and they go without needing any effort.
So you don't have to carry them because they can move without you.
And now as things begin to soften even more,
Just notice the quieter space opening within you.
Still,
Calm,
Softer than before.
And from this softer place,
You can gently notice what has been sitting on your mind.
Just notice.
It might be a worry,
Something that keeps returning,
Or a thought that feels difficult to switch off.
You don't need to push it away and you don't need to hold onto it tightly either.
You're just allowing it to be seen,
Gently,
Kindly,
Without judgment.
And now just bring your awareness back to your breath.
Breathe in and just see a soft,
Steady breath moving gently through your body.
It's creating a little more space.
And as you breathe out,
This same breath is softly carrying away a small part of what you have been holding.
Breathe in and as you slowly breathe out,
Just let go,
Release any stress or tension,
Just a little with each breath that you take.
You're breathing in space,
Softness,
Support.
And breathing out,
Easing,
Releasing,
And letting go.
Now,
If a thought feels really persistent or maybe intrusive,
Just visualize placing it gently on your out breath.
And just let the breath carry it,
Just like a leaf floating downstream.
Just allow your breath to move it at its own pace.
If it comes back,
That's okay.
Each time you can simply place it down again and just let your next breath carry it a little further.
So breathing in,
You create space.
And breathing out,
You soften what you're holding.
And this is your gentle rhythm that is supporting you.
So you really are allowed to take a break from your thoughts.
Even if they feel important,
You may come back to them later with more clarity,
With more steadiness.
But for now,
Just let your breath hold them for you.
And as you continue breathing,
Just notice how your thoughts are now feeling lighter and less intense.
And underneath it all,
That quiet steadiness is still here.
And just take a breath in and a gentle,
Slow breath out.
And just affirm to yourself,
Naturally,
Softly or out loud,
I do not need to carry every thought.
I can soften.
I can pause.
I am safe in this moment.
Good.
And just breathe those words deep into your heart.
Now you see yourself sitting beside a quiet lake in the early evening.
The air is soft,
Cool,
And peaceful.
The water in front of you is still.
It's reflecting the fading light of the sky.
And for a moment,
You just simply sit here.
You're held by the quiet.
And if thoughts arise,
You begin to notice something.
Each thought is like a leaf that is gently landing on the surface of the water.
Now,
Some leaves,
They drift quickly and others linger,
But none of them need to be held onto.
So,
You just simply watch them arrive and slowly float away.
Another thought comes and another leaf lands softly.
You don't need to chase it or analyze it.
You can just let it drift across the water.
And as you continue resting here,
You begin to notice the space between your thoughts.
Small moments of quiet.
Gentle pauses,
Just like little openings where your mind can breathe.
And the lake,
It remains calm beneath it all.
Steady,
Still,
Unchanged.
And so,
This part of you begins to realize that underneath all your thinking,
There is also a stillness within you.
It's a quieter place that has been here all along.
And you can just simply notice that it's there,
Waiting.
And the more you sit here beside this beautiful,
Quiet water,
The less you need to do.
Thoughts may continue drifting by,
And that's okay.
You are simply learning not to hold every thought so tightly.
So,
For a few moments,
Just rest here,
Watching the water,
Breathing gently.
Letting go of thoughts.
Letting them move along the water like leaves.
You notice the quietness.
You notice the stillness.
You allow your mind to soften.
Wonderful.
So,
As you slowly begin to notice your breath again,
Just take a moment to recognize how much energy that thinking can take.
So,
Maybe it's enough to pause,
To breathe,
And to let your mind rest even briefly.
And as you move through your day,
If you notice that your mind is becoming overwhelmed,
Just gently pause.
Take a moment to breathe.
Just see how your nervous system becomes softer,
Helping us see more clearly.
So,
Take one slow,
Gentle breath in.
Pause at the top.
And a long,
Easy breath out.
Pause at the bottom,
Into the stillness.
Breathe in.
Pause.
And release slowly and gently.
Just resume your natural breathing pattern now.
Now,
Thank yourself for making space for you today,
Even in the middle of everything.
That really matters.
So,
As you move back into your day,
Just see if you can carry this feeling with you.
A little more softness.
A little more space.
A little more quietness.
So,
For now,
Just let this moment,
This very moment,
Be enough.
And take care of your beautiful mind.
Namaste,
My friend.
