Welcome.
Take a moment to settle into your comfy space,
Warm and cozy,
And just gently arrive here in your own time.
Allow your body to soften a little,
Your jaw releasing,
Your shoulders dropping,
And your breath moving naturally without effort.
And just notice what it feels like to pause,
Just even for a moment.
Breathe in,
And as you breathe out,
Release any stress or tension,
Letting go.
As your awareness begins to quiet,
You might gently imagine a spaciousness opening within you,
As though your mind itself is becoming softer,
Calmer,
More spacious.
So deep within the center of your brain,
Resting in a small hollow space just behind the bridge of your nose,
There sits a tiny gland.
It's no larger than a pea,
And it's known as the pituitary gland.
It's so small and yet quietly involved in so many rhythms of your life,
Your energy,
Your growth,
Your stress response,
And your cycles of rest and renewal.
This gland is sometimes called the master gland,
Because it communicates with so many parts of your body.
It sends signals,
Receives messages,
And it helps your body move in balance,
Not through force,
But through communication,
Through relationship.
Because there is an ongoing conversation within you that has been unfolding since the very beginning of your life.
And there is something quietly comforting in this.
It's the reminder that within you,
There is constant communication taking place.
Your body is listening,
It's adjusting,
It's responding,
Often without you needing to control a single thing.
Even now,
Your beautiful body is working gently on your behalf.
It is seeking balance and seeking harmony,
Seeking to bring different parts of you into conversation with one another.
And this quiet intelligence within you is simply listening and responding in its own time.
In many traditions,
The center of the head has long been associated with inner vision,
Intuition,
And deeper awareness.
A place where thought begins to soften and something quieter can be heard beneath it.
And while the pituitary gland is a physical part of the body,
It can also become a symbol of trust.
Trusting that wisdom does not always arrive loudly,
But sometimes it arrives softly.
Just like a feeling,
A knowing,
A pause that gently guides you in another direction.
Sometimes the deepest guidance within us just whispers.
And as Lao Tzu wrote,
At the center of your being,
You have the answer.
You know who you are and you know what you want.
So your body has always been speaking to you in quiet ways,
Gently guiding you back towards balance,
Towards awareness,
And towards yourself.
And now,
If it feels comfortable,
Just bring your awareness to rest gently in the center of your head.
And sense the space behind your forehead,
Deep in the center of your brain,
Just noticing.
And just begin to imagine a soft light there,
Gentle,
Calm,
Luminous.
It might be a silvery light or soft violet,
Or whatever arises naturally for you.
Now,
With each breath you take,
This light is becoming a little more spacious.
It's becoming softer,
Warmer,
And more alive.
Now,
This light is carrying a quiet message through your body.
Just see it flowing gently downward through your throat,
Your chest,
Your back,
Your arms and hands,
Your ribs and your belly,
Your hips,
Legs,
Moving all the way down to your feet and toes.
It's moving like a calm stream of understanding.
And this is the gentle communication between your mind,
Your body,
And your spirit.
Now,
You may begin to sense that every part of you has been trying in its own way to guide you back towards balance and back towards yourself.
So,
Let's just breathe softly here.
And allow yourself to rest for a few moments in this feeling of quiet support.
You do not need to see the entire path ahead right now.
But,
Remember this wisdom within you that unfolds gradually,
Gently.
And it is in your own time.
So,
Here you are simply learning to listen to you a little more closely.
So,
Take a slightly deeper breath now in and a slow relaxed breath out.
Notice the surface beneath you,
The steadiness of your body here in this very moment.
And carry this gentle reminder that there is an intelligence within you.
And it is communicating,
Balancing,
Guiding,
Even in the moments when you forget all about it.
So,
Gently return now,
Slowly,
Softly,
In your own time.
Namaste,
My friend.
