My name is Ashley Bentley,
And I invite you now to drop inwards,
Deep into your emotional center.
The heart chakra is our center of love,
Compassion,
And connection.
Through these affirmations,
We will invite more love and light into our lives.
In this meditation,
We will explore the heart as a center of awareness,
Using a series of affirmations to align ourselves with qualities such as love,
Compassion,
And emotional balance.
As we proceed,
You'll be invited to observe your experience without judgment,
Allowing whatever arises to be part of your present moment awareness.
It's important to understand that our experience of consciousness is not limited to the activity of the mind alone.
Our hearts play a significant role in how we perceive and interact with the world around us.
When we bring our awareness to our heart,
We engage with a form of intelligence that is not solely based on cognitive thought.
This heart-centered intelligence influences how we process emotions and how we experience empathy and compassion.
By focusing on the heart,
We can cultivate a state of coherence,
A harmonious alignment between the heart,
Mind,
And body,
Which has been shown to reduce stress,
Enhance cognitive function,
And improve overall well-being.
I invite you to take a moment to notice how you feel here now at the beginning of this practice and begin to allow yourself to settle in.
It's worth the extra effort to ensure that your body is fully supported and adjust your body in any way that it needs right now.
Good,
That's right.
And begin noticing your breathing,
The gentle rise and fall of the belly,
Allowing your breath to begin releasing any tension in the body,
Releasing tension slowly,
Sinking deeper and deeper.
Let your body become heavy,
Allowing your whole body to empty of tension.
With each breath,
Feel the ground beneath you supporting your body.
And as you continue to breathe deeply and rhythmically,
Allow yourself to let go of any expectations or judgments you may have about this meditation.
These affirmations are not meant to be believed in the way we might believe a fact.
Rather,
They are invitations to explore certain states of mind.
As I say each affirmation,
Notice how it resonates within you.
Allow yourself to connect deeper with each phrase and really feel these statements to be true,
Deep within yourself.
I am loving awareness.

Both for myself and others.

Feeling your heart expand with love and light.

Releasing any tension or negativity.
And notice how it feels to rest your attention in this space.
And the mind may wander,
And that's perfectly normal.
Each time you notice your mind drifting,
Gently guide your attention back to the heart,
Using the breath as your anchor.
As you settle into this awareness,
Consider the idea that the heart is a source of intelligence.
An intelligence that informs our capacity for empathy,
Compassion,
And emotional resilience.
And rather than trying to analyze or understand this concept with your mind,
Simply allow yourself to experience it.
