I invite you to find a comfortable sitting,
Standing or lying down position.
Take a few slow belly breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
As you exhale whisper,
I am here,
I am safe,
I am open to light.
Let your shoulders drop,
Unclench your jaw and hold a soft gaze.
Feel the body settle into the practice.
Slowly look around you.
What feels calm or beautiful right now?
What sound,
Smell,
Touch or colour awakens warmth or peace?
It could be the sunlight through the windows,
The sounds in the room or the beating of your heart.
When you find a glimmer,
Let it stay.
Breathe it in,
Let it spread throughout your body.
Gently place your hand over your heart and say out loud or silently.
Thank you for this moment of light.
May I see the light within and around me today.
Small moments of love lift me up.
I'll repeat these phrases again.

Visualise the gratitude expanding in all directions.
Take one last deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth and come back into the space.
Carry this softness into your body.
