Welcome,
My name is Dr.
Piper Grant and this meditation is a gentle ritual,
An invitation to come back into relationship with your body after birth.
Let's begin the practice by just taking a slow breath in through your nose and releasing it gently through your mouth.
Allowing your body to settle wherever you are in whatever position you are at this moment.
Just allowing your body to be.
I invite you to bring awareness to the sensations of air or textures on your skin.
Noticing what your body just feels like in this present moment,
In the space in which she is.
I invite you to place one hand somewhere on your body that feels comforting,
That feels safe,
That feels nurturing.
As your hand rests in this place,
Imagine your breath moving into that space.
Light moving towards that space of comfort,
Nurturance or safety.
With each inhale,
Offering appreciation.
With each exhale,
Softening any tension.
Allowing yourself the thoughts and the affirmation.
Thank you for carrying me.
Thank you for enduring.
I now invite you to place one hand somewhere on your body that perhaps needs more attention.
That needs more nurturance.
That needs more comfort.
And move your hand slowly to that space of your body.
And as your hand rests there,
Now imagine your breath moving into that space.
Light moving into that area of your body.
With each inhale,
Offering comfort.
And with each exhale,
Releasing.
Silently offering yourself the affirmations.
Thank you for carrying me.
Thank you for enduring.
Letting the warmth spread through your body now.
Any light that may exist,
Letting that spread through your body.
Remembering that this is an invitation to come back into relationship with your body.
To allow yourself to recognize her.
To respect her.
Offering a moment to come back to her.
We invite us together to take one final inhale through the nose.
And a full exhale through the mouth.
And just noticing in this moment what it feels like to offer a small moment of time of recognition of your body.
And in knowing that you can return to this ritual,
This practice,
Anytime you wish.
And in any place that you are.
Thank you for joining me today.
I hope that you are well.
Take care.
