When stress, anxiety, or overwhelm arise, the breath is often one of the first places we feel it in the body. This gentle somatic practice uses breath awareness as an anchor for grounding, presence, and nervous system settling, without forcing the breath to change or moving into intense breathwork or hyperventilation practices, which can sometimes feel overstimulating for certain nervous systems. Through simple guided awareness, you’ll explore the natural rhythm of your breath and the way attention itself can begin creating more space, calm, and ease within the body. No experience is needed, only a willingness to slow down and notice what is already here. I personally enjoy this practice lying on the floor with a pillow nearby, though I encourage you to follow your own body’s cues and discover what feels most supportive for you.
