Her work bridges ancient philosophy and contemporary life, exploring how movement, breath, and awareness can restore harmony between body, mind, and the world. Based in Swansea, Wales, she brings her practice into wellbeing centres, schools, universities and community groups, creating spaces where women, elders, and migrants can reconnect with themselves through embodied healing and mindful presence. Her teaching interlaces standing meditation (Zhan Zhuang), seated stillness (Jing Zuo), Tai Chi body flow, and Daoist breathwork, pathways that cultivate awareness from the inside out, helping the nervous system return to balance and the spirit to find ease. Through The Way of Stillness & Flow, Jar invites us to experience what the Taoists call “动静合一” : the union of stillness and movement, as both a healing practice and a way of being in the world.
