Meditation Timer OnlineI am a registered nurse with more than 16 years of clinical experience and the founder of Pain Care At Home™, where I help people make sense of persistent pain through a whole-person, evidence-informed approach. My work combines nursing assessment, pain neuroscience education, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and recovery support to help individuals understand why pain persists and what may be making recovery more difficult. My perspective is shaped by both professional experience and personal recovery. After developing chronic widespread pain following a medical procedure, I spent years navigating multiple diagnoses, treatments, medications, and specialists before discovering approaches that addressed pain beyond tissue injury alone. That experience transformed how I think about chronic pain and inspired my work supporting others. I have completed professional training in PRT, EAET, and mindfulness meditation. Rather than promoting a single treatment model, I integrate current pain science with clinical judgment to help identify the biological, psychological, behavioral, and healthcare factors that influence recovery. As the developer of the Pain Complexity Screening Tool™ (PCST™) and the Pain Recovery Profile™, my current work focuses on helping clinicians and individuals better understand pain complexity, recovery readiness, symptom stability, and the support each person may need at different stages of recovery.
