Hello,
My name is Mark Rowland.
Thank you so much for joining me tonight.
You're invited into a place of rest,
A soft snow-covered sanctuary where stillness lives and your spirit can finally breathe.
Let's begin,
Find a comfortable position and let your body just begin to settle,
Let your shoulders drop,
Your hands rest softly,
Let your breath begin to slow down,
There's nothing to do right now,
No expectations,
No pressure,
Just permission to let go.
Begin to notice your breath,
Feel the gentle rise and fall,
Inhale,
Let each breath carry you deeper and deeper into the quiet.
Now imagine a wide snowy landscape,
Pure white stretching in every direction,
The air is still,
The world is quiet and the silence feels sacred.
You are alone,
But you are not lonely,
You are held by the earth,
By the softness of snow and by something ancient and calm.
In the distance you notice movement,
A large white figure is approaching you slowly,
It walks with steady grace,
Powerful,
Peaceful,
Present.
As it draws closer,
You feel no fear,
Only a deep,
Deep calm,
Only recognition.
The bear sees you and you feel seen,
It turns slowly and begins to walk,
You follow,
Your feet move quietly across the snow and together you walk through the silence,
Step by step,
Breath by breath.
Above you,
The sky glows with the soft magic of the northern lights,
Colours dancing gently across the stars,
You pause here to take in their beauty.
As you continue walking,
You eventually find yourself arriving at a small den,
Carved gently into the snowy landscape,
The polar bear lies down inside,
Curling into itself,
Breathing slowly.
You settle in beside it,
Wrapped in warmth and safety,
Feel the stillness of this space,
The peace,
The protection.
The polar bear breathes slowly and you,
Match it's rhythm now,
Inhale,
Exhale,
Exhale.
Each breath releases tension,
Each breath brings you deeper and deeper into rest.
Let yourself sink,
Heavier,
Warmer,
Softer,
Wrapped up in the quiet of this sacred,
Beautiful night.
Let these words drift over you,
Like snowflakes landing softly on your skin,
I am allowed to rest,
I am allowed to release.
I am held,
I am safe,
I am not alone,
There is nothing to fix,
Nothing to figure out,
There is only this moment,
There is only this breath,
Now let the silence carry you,
Let the breath of the bear guide you ever deeper.
You are safe,
You are held,
You are deeply,
Deeply loved.
Sleep well now friend,
We will end here,
But know,
This place is always waiting inside for you,
The bear will always be there to walk you home.
Namaste.
