Hello and welcome to Self-Connection and Awareness Mindfulness Exercise number 2.
Discovering your true self.
Find a place that is comfortable where you can sit for 5 to 10 minutes.
Where you won't be interrupted.
And have a glass of water with you.
When you are ready,
You can sit or lay down.
Close your eyes and take a nice deep breath in.
Expand your belly and your chest.
And exhale all that oxygen.
Gently and slowly.
And slow down the breath and breathe in again.
Allow your body to respond.
Allow it to release any tension and any stress that you may be holding.
And feel the cleansing effects of the oxygen as you breathe gently in and out.
Now bring your awareness in.
Noticing still the breath.
And also your thoughts.
Your feelings.
Simply observing all that is going on within you.
No judgement,
Just observation.
And as you breathe in and out.
Bring your awareness to a light that is growing from within.
That is growing brighter and brighter.
And with each breath that you release it expands further around your body.
And now repeat.

As you gently breathe in and out.
Slowly and rhythmically.
Allowing any thoughts to come forward.
Feelings to come forward.
Or insights to gently rise.
You trust whatever comes.
And even if nothing does you trust in the silence.
You pay attention to the parts of the body that correspond with any thoughts or feelings that you are experiencing.
You trust your intuition to let you know what this means.
You rest for a few moments allowing it all to come in.
Allowing your awareness and your consciousness to recognise.
And to acknowledge.

You feel connected and aware.
As you deeply breathe in and out slowly and gently.

To your true self.
Now bringing your breathing back to the awareness of the room that you are in or the space that you are in.
Gently moving your fingers and toes and stretching and opening your eyes when you are ready.
With your breath returning to a normal rate.
Just sitting and reflecting on the experience.
Have a drink of water.
Reconnect yourself with the now moment.
