For this practice,
It can be helpful to have some art supplies.
Whether it's just a pencil and paper pen.
Or if you want to have paint,
Crayons,
Markers.
Whatever you feel is necessary to do this.
It's welcomed.
And so if you need to,
Take a moment to pause here.
Gather your things.
And then we will begin.
During this practice,
I invite you to just remind yourself that this is your time to let go.
To feel.
To create.
Without rules.
And without judgment.
Take a moment to settle in.
Feel the weight of your body.
Notice your breath.
No need to change it.
Just observe.
Breathe.
Inhaling.
And exhale.
Now gently bring your awareness to your hands.
Feel the texture of the paper.
The brush.
The pen.
The paint.
This is your tool of expression today.
Your voice without words.
Inhale slowly.
With your exhale,
Imagine releasing expectations.
There is no right or wrong here.
There is only flow.
There is only now.
Let your hand move.
Let your breath guide the rhythm.
Let the colors,
The lines,
The shapes emerge without needing to understand them.
Maybe the brush wants to dance.
Maybe the pen wants to scribble.
Maybe your fingers want to smear,
Smudge,
Or press.
Trust it.
We'll take a moment just to see what comes up.
And just enjoy the music.
And allow yourself to freely flow.
Breathe and observe.
What sensations arise in your body?
What feelings want to be seen or heard through your art?
You don't need to explain.
You don't need to fix.
You're not creating to impress.
You're creating to release.
To connect.
To be.
Now,
Allow whatever needs to come through to guide your next stroke.
No pressure.
Just presence.
Taking a moment here.
Remembering to breathe.
When your mind begins to judge,
Breathe.
When you feel stuck,
Breathe.
And return to the paper.
This is meditation.
This is movement.
This is you.
Perfect in process.
Raw.
Honest.
Free.
Take your time.
Stay as long as you'd like.
And when you're ready to pause,
Gently look at what you've created.
Not with critique,
But with curiosity.
What did you feel?
What did you notice?
Let this creation be a reflection.
Not of what you are,
But what you're processing.
