Welcome to Soma Rising and this short meditation.
Return to the forest within.
Make yourself comfortable.
Close your eyes or let your gaze rest softly.
Take a breath in,
Slow and steady.
Let that breath meet the places inside of you that feel tight,
Forgotten or frozen.
Exhale and let it all melt away.
You don't have to fix anything.
Just breathe again.
Feel your belly and your ribs expand like wings opening.
Feel your breath move you.
Now let your body shift,
Just gently.
A small sway,
A roll of the shoulders,
A soft unfurling.
Your body remembers,
Even if your mind forgets.
Let it move you the way that wind moves through the leaves.
And if you feel cold,
Hum.
Bring a sound from the back of your throat,
Soft and low.
Let your voice tremble through you like a song moving through soil.
You don't need to be loud,
Just honest.
Now bring your hands to your heart or your belly or wherever needs warmth.
Feel the aliveness beneath your skin.
This touch,
Your own,
Is enough.
With every breath,
Let yourself return to your body,
Your sound,
Your ground.
To the wild knowing that you belong.
You are not broken.
You are becoming.
