Welcome.
Wherever you are,
However you arrive.
Allow yourself to take a moment.
To settle in.
You might be sitting or laying down.
Whatever is most comfortable for your body right now.
And if your eyes want to close,
They can.
Now or whenever they're ready.
For the next little while,
There's nothing you need to do,
Nothing to fix,
Nothing to get right.
And if at any point you want to come back.
You can open your eyes,
Feel the room Moose.
Whatever your body will need.
The way back stays open the whole time.
Whatever brought you here today.
You don't need to name it.
You can let it settle somewhere in the body.
It already knows why it came.
Let's begin with a couple of breaths.
Breathing in through the nose.
And letting it go through the mouth.
Once more into the nose… Inhale through the mouth,
Even slower this time.
And now the breath can do whatever it wants to do.
Feeling the weight of you.
Wherever the body meets what's holding it.
The back of the head.
The shoulders.
The arm,
The hands,
Fingers.
The hips.
The legs,
The heels,
The soles of the feet.
The whole body,
All at once,
Held.
Maybe the jaw softens a little.
The small muscles around the eyes.
The tongue.
Resting.
Nothing you have to make happen.
Just letting softness find the places that are ready for it.
And as the body settles,
Thoughts may still be moving,
And that's fine.
They can move.
You don't have to follow them.
Like clouds crossing a wide sky far away.
You don't have to hold yourself anywhere.
My voice can be the thing you follow.
Allow yourself to sink a little deeper now.
And allow the quiet to grow a little wider in the room that you're in.
And from here,
Three slow breaths.
The first into the nose.
And then a little more the top.
Sighing it all out and letting it go.
Another second.
Into the nose for 4 3 2 1 and out through the mouth soft and slow for 6,
5,
4,
3,
2,
1.
.
.
And the third.
In through the nose.
Filling yourself up all the way to the top.
Once you get there,
Breathe it all out through the mouth,
All the way out.
Keep going.
And once you get to the bottom of the breath,
Hold,
Rest there.
Allow that moment in that quiet,
In that pause.
Present question.
And allow what needs to take shape to form.
Now return to your normal breathing,
The normal rhythm in your body.
And now we open to a new world.
Open ground.
Kind,
Wide opening.
There are warm stones beneath you.
And are still holding the heat of the day.
You see the sky wide above.
The light low and golden.
As if the day is coming to its end.
And the wind steady.
Moving across the open ground.
The way it has for a very long time.
You might see this place.
You might feel it.
Or you might simply know that you're there.
However it comes is right.
Letting it take shape around you.
In its own way.
And these stones hold you here.
The way the ground holds you in the room.
And then you begin to notice something resting in your hand Very simple,
Made of clay.
Made by hand.
As you see it,
You notice that it's full.
Fold to the very brim.
And you notice its weight.
And start to think to yourself,
How long have I been holding this cup for?
And as you begin to look into the cup,
You question.
What does it hold in you?
Maybe it holds the names you answer to.
The roles you play.
Things you carry for others.
The one thing you've learned to be.
Or maybe something with no name at all.
No matter what,
You don't need to sort through it.
It knows what it holds.
Just one question.
What is it like?
To hold all of this.
What is it that goes through your mind?
When you see,
Feel this cup full.
Whatever arises,
Welcome.
Feeling and image.
Award Maybe just nothing at all.
Though everything in this cup didn't end up there.
By accident.
Everything in this cup was gathered.
For a reason.
Each piece of it at some point.
Was trying to help.
Maybe trying to keep you safe.
Or trying to help you belong.
And pouring it out doesn't mean losing it.
For now,
We could rest on the stones.
Anything you need can be picked up again.
And now,
If it feels right,
And only if it feels right.
With the next breath out,
The cup might tip just a little.
Letting a little of what it holds pour out.
Onto the warm stone.
And if you do,
What is it that is pouring out now?
And with the next breath out,
You may just pour a little more out as well.
There's no need to choose what goes.
The breath and the body knows.
Let's ask ourselves.
What is it pouring out now?
And once more.
The cup tipping a little further.
Maybe something you've been for a very long time.
Maybe something else.
But let's ask ourselves a question.
What is it that we wish to pour out the cup now?
Some of them may want to stay for now.
But if it stays,
It's okay.
Whatever you do pour out.
The stones will take it.
And the winds,
They will carry them on.
And now sit there with this cup in your hand.
Inhale through the nose… and exhale releasing everything that you released in this cup.
You might notice that you and the cop.
.
.
May you be feeling just.
.
.
A little lighter.
Maybe just a little lighter and lighter.
And if you notice that there's still something there.
.
.
That's fine.
Fine just as it is.
And now looking into the cup.
The space inside it.
You begin to think to yourself.
Maybe a cup.
Is useful.
Because it's empty.
Maybe the whole purpose of a cup is to be empty.
And that emptiness is what lets it receive.
And perhaps you might notice a space like that in you.
In the chest,
In the belly,
Behind the eyes.
Wherever it shows itself.
Not a name or a role.
Something you had to be.
What is a space?
One that's open and able to receive.
And for this moment,
You might let yourself become the cup.
The clay,
The open rim,
The space inside.
And see that you and it have so much in common.
So many times in life.
Your tools,
How,
When,
Why to fill it up.
Now it's our choice.
As we sit as the empty cup.
We can choose when,
What.
And why we wish to fill it up.
And as you sit there,
Lay there.
You feel a gust of wind blowing across you.
One that reminds you of an old way.
Reminds you of a lighter version of yourself.
Playful.
Choice.
Open.
One where you feel the chest open.
And the hands soften.
One where you can feel the wind flow through the spaces inside you.
Not against you,
But through you.
Nothing to resist.
Because there's nothing to persist.
Just a beautiful open space.
An empty body and mind.
And that beautiful breath.
And in this open space.
You may ask yourself.
Now that there's room.
How do I feel?
Chas Darling.
Shoulders now.
Have there been something that you've been carrying this whole time?
And now that the cup is empty.
Is there a release that you feel?
A shift in the body,
In the breath.
Into who you thought you needed to be.
Take a deep inhale.
Home.
And when you release,
Release with a sigh,
A hum,
A noise,
Let whatever needs to leave,
Leave.
Continue to make more space in your body,
In your life.
Let's do this again.
Deep inhale,
Nose or mouth,
Whatever feels comfortable.
Fill yourself up to the top.
Home.
And when you release,
Release with a sigh,
A hum,
Whatever sound wants to come out of your body,
Just let it out.
And soften every part of you from your head,
Neck,
Shoulders,
Chest,
Legs all the way down.
Once again becoming that empty cup.
And slowly feel the plateau around you begin to soften.
Warm stone,
The wind,
Lost gold of life.
You can take your time leaving,
Because this place will always stay here.
You don't have to rush.
And as you start to feel again the weight of your body,
Wherever it's resting.
Bring awareness.
Into the sounds of the room near and far.
Feel the air on your skin.
The light beyond your eyelids.
Allow your breath to deepen just a little.
A few fuller breaths in your own time.
The fingers might move,
And the toes.
Maybe you give your body a stretch.
Whatever the body asks for.
And in the days ahead.
Might notice what begins to fill your cup.
And how the body tells you if and when it's getting full.
And you know.
You can always pour it out again if you need to.
One breath at a time.
And before you go,
If words have come for what you've been carrying out here,
You can say them silently on your own.
Acknowledge them.
Thank them.
And let them go.
Noticing how the body feels now.
And whatever is here is enough.
And when you're ready.
And not before.
Let your eyes open.
And know whenever you need this,
It's here.
It's already in you.
In your breath.
Close your eyes.
Inhale,
Hold.
And you're welcome back anytime you'd like.
