Thank you for joining me in today's throat opening meditation.
So for many,
Many different reasons,
People may have contractions,
Closures,
Tightness,
And tension in their throats.
And it's often said that we may choose our words based on our history,
What we believe is safe for us to express.
Sometimes we choose our words so they may sound powerful or angry.
Because we are defending ourselves and also,
Again,
Trying to stay safe.
Sometimes we choose our words carefully,
Because we want to be kind.
Sometimes we've had trauma to the neck,
Perhaps surgery,
Perhaps chronic tension and tightness from years of stress.
Our posture plays a big role in the flow of everything in the neck,
Whether it be our circulation,
Lymphatic fluid,
The movement of the fascia.
And so as we choose to be mindful with having an upright posture instead of a head forward,
Head down kind of phone usage posture,
We can also activate the energies in our throat to help us open in Places that we may have been holding or withholding due to emotional baggage.
So I encourage you to get comfortable in a neck-supported posture and allow yourself to drop your shoulders.
Relax your hands.
And if you're able to,
Plant both feet on the floor so that you can feel the support of the floor beneath you supporting your posture.
Then as you breathe,
Start to pay attention to how the breath moves.
Flows through your neck.
Shift your attention and awareness from your external surroundings into your body.
And if this doesn't feel safe or comfortable for you,
You can come back to this track when you feel ready.
But if you do feel ready,
Then move your awareness.
Into your throat.
Instead of feeling like you are an observer looking at your throat from the outside.
Be you.
Inside your throat.
Being the cells of your throat.
Feel yourself.
Being the tissues and cells and the anatomy inside your throat.
And connect with it energetically and physically.
And so as you feel your throat,
Notice any area that feels tight or uncomfortable.
And this is simply an exercise of intentional awareness.
This means I'm asking you to drop judgment,
Expectation or concerns.
You're just learning to be aware of your holding points and,
As you become aware,
Cultivate a sense of curiosity about any holding that you can feel.
So right now you should be being yourself inside your throat.
Feeling an area of tension and feeling curious about it.
And like you're an explorer,
Lightly allow your awareness to move around in the area of tension.
How's it look in the front?
How does it feel on the lap?
Oh what's over there on the right?
What might happen if I.
.
.
Ease into the back of the throat.
Play and be curious about the tension.
And as you cultivate this curious exploration of any sensation and every sensation that comes to your awareness while you're in your throat,
Allow yourself to receive energy healing that supports what you're doing right now.
And what you're doing right now.
Is using intentional,
Gentle awareness to unblock things that have been holding while you were holding on to a very serious approach to life.
So as you explore,
Feel the support that's coming through for you.
And helping you unlock the things.
That need unlocking.
As you continue to receive healing,
I just want to remind you to let go of expectation.
Because when we have an expectation,
We are dictating an outcome for our body,
But if we let go,
And just be open to whatever unwinding happens.
You allow your system to access infinite possibilities instead of just the possibilities.
That you can imagine right now.
The energy is continuing to flow.
I want you to be able to understand that there are so many layers to the anatomy of our throat.
I'm going to say a few of the different areas that you may want to include in your awareness.
You don't need to know the anatomy.
But sometimes as I say the different names they will open for you Open your trachea.
Your voice box.
Your lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels.
Your thyroid your parathyroids.
Your arteries Your veins.
Your left vagus nerve.
Your right vagus nerve the muscles involved in swallowing.
The mucous membranes that line your esophagus.
All the muscles.
That control the movement of your neck.
In the front,
In the sides,
And in the back.
And include in your awareness your brainstem at the back of your skull.
That includes nerves that run in your spinal column.
And include all of your vertebrae in your neck,
All the bones include the areas that are filled with air.
Like your airways include.
The extracellular spaces.
All the fluid around your cells.
Doesn't matter if you know where they are,
Just allow all of that.
To open.
Along with your throat chakra.
Allow it to extend.
Outward in front of you.
And outward behind you like a little tornado in the front and a tornado in the back.
And visualize that you've got a little sponge and you soak up healing energy into the sponge.
You just bring your sponge into your throat chakra.
Scrubbing away anything that feels dark.
Everything that feels heavy.
Stagnant,
Stuck.
Just scrub it all away with your little sponge.
Let's grab the front.
Let's grab the back.
And all the energy that you are shifting with your cleaning sponge allows the stagnant energy to be released and recycled into something else.
It no longer serves you.
And so your decision to allow it to be recycled creates space for new energy that you're bringing in with your little cleaner sponge.
And this new energy can help you generate.
Clarity of speech.
Clarity of communication.
And a deeper ability to receive the communications that are coming through for you as well.
When you feel like your throat chakra is clear and free,
Ask it to return to its optimal size and flow where it can support your healthy communication.
In this extended energy healing portion of this track.
Continue to allow yourself to feel the sensations in your throat chakra and receive the energy healing that is coming through as a clearing for you.
You may be able to feel a tugging sensation as old energies are being removed.
And shift it around for ease of flow and release.
Notice if you feel an elongation in your neck.
As it releases.
You may feel the need to cough.
As lymphatic fluid is drained.
And as the nerves are gently supported.
You may feel a reflexive need to swallow as the tissues of your throat are cleared.
You may also notice an opening from your throat that extends into your chest.
Into your shoulders.
And to the base of your skull.
And down your back.
Simply allow all of these areas to receive what they receive.
To open in tandem with your throat,
Because everything is.
Connected.
Allow the softness.
Of the chakra opening.
To reverberate through your entire throat and neck area.
And into your head and into your body.
And now as you experience the sensations in your throat,
Notice if you feel more open,
Lighter.
.
.
A sense of freedom.
And a reduction in constriction.
So as you repeat this practice daily,
You will continue to guide the energies of your throat to remain clear and open and to help you cultivate clarity within this really important juncture between the head and the body.
Enjoy your sense of openness and feel free to follow me and I'll see you at the next meditation.
