Perhaps it's time to make space for something new,
A new way of aligning with your true self that dwells inside you as sheer awareness.
Before we proceed,
I invite you to make yourself comfortable.
Be seated either in a chair or lie down,
Whatever feels more comfortable.
I suggest you close your eyes to go inwards.
Give gentle permission to your eyelids to become heavy and slowly drop until the eyelids close.
Place both your hands on your heart so you can receive my instructions heart to heart.
Or you can simply touch your heart and then bring your hands back to your side and let them gently rest there.
Allow your breath to naturalize.
Let it do what it wishes to do.
Notice the in-breath and how that feels.
Notice the out-breath and how that feels.
Do it again.
With each out-breath,
Linger a little longer.
With each out-breath,
You're letting go of tension in your body.
With each outgoing breath,
Give yourself permission.
Let go of whatever that was holding you.
Drop deeper.
Surrender to gravity.
Let go of resistance.
Soften deeper.
Allow your entire body to become lax.
Yes,
Just like that.
Soften your body some more.
That's right.
Just like this.
And through this deep exhalation,
Let your body land on earth.
Let your breath,
Supported by the sun,
Moon,
Stars,
And all of existence arrive in your body.
Now as your breath flows in,
Feel it move down into your belly.
As your breath flows out,
Let your belly become soft.
On each inhale,
Allow your belly to receive your breath.
And on each exhale,
Allow your belly to let go of any holding and resistance.
Inhale,
Fill up the belly.
Exhale,
Release the belly.
Inhale,
Fill up the belly.
Exhale,
Release the belly.
Inhale,
Fill up the belly.
Exhale,
Release the belly.
With each inhalation,
Imagine your belly being cared for by the breath,
The prana.
With each exhale,
As the breath leaves the belly,
See how your belly has become filled with room spaciousness,
A divine emptiness.
With each exhalation and the emptiness that comes from it,
You are becoming free of thoughts,
Emotions,
Sensations.
Welcome all that rises and falls.
This breath is your friend.
Your body is relaxed.
Your mind is experiencing awareness,
Expansion,
Emptiness.
Relax and relief are washing over your being as if a weight has been lifted.
Notice the subtle changes throughout your being.
Perhaps you can sense that every cell in your body has loosened its grip.
Maybe you can notice the new spaciousness in your mind and in your heart.
And whatever you're feeling right now is your truth.
Be with the sensation without modifying it,
Controlling it,
Judging it.
Just be with it.
And when you are ready,
Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the room you are in and the space around you.
Take the next few breaths to acknowledge and honor yourself.
And then slowly open your eyes.
You can remain still for a while before moving your body and coming back to the normal state of being in day-to-day life.
