Welcome to this practice on creating space and grounding.
Allow yourself to take a moment and notice how you are sitting or laying down right now.
Let's start by making ourselves 10% even more comfortable.
Make any adjustments you need and let's gently close our eyes and let's take a deep breath in together in through your nose,
Allowing the cold air to travel through your nostrils,
Enter in your lungs,
Expand your chest and belly and with every exhale,
Feeling that warm breeze enter out through your nose or mouth.
Practice this two more times in your own pace and if perhaps it feels a bit tight inside of you,
Don't worry,
We are going to work on that today.
And when you've finished with your two breaths,
Allow your breathing to shift back into its natural rhythm and simply witnessing the flow of breath.
And now bring your awareness to a space in your body that feels tight or maybe to what has drawn you to this practice today,
A part inside of you that needs this space and that can use some grounding.
You are shifting into the body,
So it might not make total sense,
It might just be a sensation,
A gut feeling,
A space in your shoulders or in your chest and as you bring your awareness to that space,
Send your breath to it and with every breath you send to that place,
You are allowing more spaciousness and with every exhale imagine you are clearing out the space around it and you can begin informing this part that you are here and that space is being given to them.
And as you begin to contact this part inside of yourself,
Notice how it takes shape,
How does it look like,
Is it alive,
How old is it,
Do you recognize perhaps your inner child,
Inner teenager,
Maybe it shows up in the shape of a colour,
A rock,
Something that's not a person.
And see if there is any openness from this part inside of you,
Any openness to communicate or any reaction to this space that you have created for them and in this moment you can ask them what they need,
Perhaps they want to ground nature,
Maybe they want to run in an open field,
Maybe they want to swim in the ocean,
Maybe they want to sit in front of a big fire and release what needs to be released or maybe they want to press their hands down into soil,
Lay on grass and really connect with the earth and if they have a clear sense of what they want or if you were able to present them with an option that was suitable for them,
Imagine you are picking them up and relocating them into this place.
And notice how this part responds.
Is there a sense of relief perhaps?
Maybe we can both take a big sigh out now.
Maybe you and your part can gently breathe together,
Letting the healing effects of the spaciousness as well as the grounding soak in.
And you can stay here for as long as your part wants to.
Maybe you've created this new environment for them and they want to stay here.
You can check in and ask them what they want and you can set the intention to keep on providing this part with what they needed.
So that even when you are not there,
They don't feel the need to act out,
To create tension or tightness in your body because your care and your love keeps on going.
The connection is established.
And whenever you are ready,
You can gently say goodbye to this part,
Allowing this visualisation to fade away in the background and gently and slowly reshifting your focus back to your breath,
Back to the pose that you are in right now.
Feeling the heavy weight of your head resting on the support below you.
Feeling the whole back line of your body leaning against a chair or sofa and slowly reorienting yourself back into the room that you are in.
Gently peeling open your eyelids and waking up to all the different colours and shapes of the objects around you.
And taking a moment to thank yourself for showing up today and notice how you feel right now.
Thank you so much for joining me in today's practice.
My name is Anais and I'll see you soon.
