As you prepare yourself for this meditation,
Make sure that you're in a comfortable position.
Make sure your spine is straight and relaxed,
Your shoulders are down,
And your palms are resting on your knees.
Once you're comfortable,
You may close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in,
And take a deep breath out.
Ground yourself in the here and now.
Be present to what is,
Right here,
Right now.
As you seek to discover your life purpose,
Think about the things that make your heart sing,
The things that spark joy.
Oftentimes,
It's the little things,
Sharing a laugh with a loved one,
Enjoying a home-cooked meal,
Watching a rerun of your favorite TV show.
Have you given yourself permission to do these things lately?
Life is filled with these simple,
Beautiful,
And happy moments.
Maybe you need to be reminded of these moments amidst the day-to-day stressors of your life.
Maybe you need to be reminded that it is your birthright to lead a happy and joyous life.
You were put onto this earth to realize your dreams.
You were meant to lead an extraordinary life.
You were meant to fulfill your purpose.
What is my purpose,
You may be wondering.
What if your purpose didn't have to be this dark gray cloud looming over your head?
What if your purpose were like a group of clouds instead,
Changing shapes and shifting as they glide across the sky,
Just as you're gliding through life?
Would you believe me if I told you that your purpose can change?
Because it can.
It evolves as you evolve.
It's only natural.
Maybe you've always had a desire to help people.
How one helps people in their 20s can look very differently than how one can help people in their 50s.
And that's okay.
It's all okay,
And it's beautiful.
Embrace the different expressions of your purpose.
Embrace the fact that the expression of your purpose can change across time and space,
Just like how clouds morph through time and space.
Rather than wondering what the clouds will look like tomorrow,
Or if there'll be a forecast of rain,
Focus on the now.
Focus on what the clouds look like right here,
Right now.
What matters to you in this moment?
What brings you joy?
If that changes tomorrow,
And it rains,
Trust that you'll be able to find an umbrella,
And you'll be okay.
You've weathered storms in the past,
And you have it in you to weather whatever comes your way.
Rather than focusing on the what ifs,
Let's come back to the present moment.
Now,
Your ego mind may be asking,
How can I go about fulfilling my purpose right here,
Right now,
By taking one step at a time?
As Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu once said,
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step,
And you're already doing that right here,
Right now.
You've been doing it even before this.
Continue the momentum.
Ask yourself the hard questions.
Give yourself the time and space for answers to arise within you.
Follow your intuition,
And do what lights you up.
Let your inner child come out,
Play,
And rejoice.
If you set the intention to find and live your purpose in this moment,
The universe will open doors and pave the way for you,
For anything is possible.
Even the word impossible,
When you break it down,
Spells I'm possible.
So when you think about your purpose,
Rather than seeing a gray cloud looming overhead,
I hope you embrace the multiple clouds drifting across the infinite skies.
The view stretches across the horizon.
It is infinite.
Your potential is infinite.
You are infinite.
Take a deep breath in,
And take a deep breath out.
Again,
Take a deep breath in,
And take a deep breath out.
Whenever you're ready,
You may open your eyes.
