Welcome,
Dear one,
This meditation is an invitation into deep rest,
Created especially to support the women's nervous system through softness,
Breath and gentle presence.
As women,
We often move through life holding a lot,
Caring,
Tending,
Appreciating,
Supporting and sometimes carrying more than we realize.
This practice is a moment to set all of that down.
Here you do not need to be the strong one.
There is nothing here to achieve,
Nothing to hold together.
Only an opportunity to rest,
To be held and return to your own inner steadiness.
Allow your body to become comfortable now and let yourself settle into a position where you feel fully supported.
When you are ready,
Close down your eyes,
Feel the ground beneath you,
Notice how the earth is already carrying your weight.
You do not need to hold yourself up right now,
You are supported.
Take a slow,
Easy breath in through the nose and softly exhale through the mouth like a quiet sigh and again another big breath and slowly exhale allowing the body to settle a little more deeply.
Let the breath return to its own natural rhythm,
No effort,
No control,
Simply allow the gentle rise and fall of the chest and belly.
Feel the back of your body resting,
The heels,
The calves,
The thighs,
The pelvis heavy,
Spine raw and supported,
The shoulders softening,
The back of the head resting with ease.
Safety can be simple,
Warmth,
Support,
Stillness,
Bring your awareness to your face,
Soften the muscles of the forehead,
Relax the space between the brows,
Let the eyes rest heavy,
Release the jaw,
Allow the tongue to soften,
Feel the shoulders melting away from the ears,
Let the arms grow heavy,
As though you are setting down everything you've been carrying.
Bring awareness to the heart space,
Notice the gentle movement of the breath,
Imagine the inhale arriving like a warm breeze and the exhale flowing out like a soft wave returning to the shore.
Allow the belly to soften completely,
Let it be easy and unguarded,
Each inhale gently expands,
Each exhale softly releases.
As the belly softens,
Bring one hand or both hands to the lower belly,
The space beneath the navel,
The quiet center or feminine body,
Feel the warmth beneath your own touch,
The space that has held so much energy,
Emotion,
Creativity,
Intuition,
And life force.
Whether or not you feel connected to this space every day,
It is always a place of deep listening.
Allow the breath to move gently here,
Inhale softening,
Exhale releasing.
Simply breathing into this inner space,
Our womb space,
Offering it kindness,
Allowing it to feel safe,
Supported.
As women,
Many of us learn to hold the belly tight,
To stay prepared,
To keep going.
For this moment,
Let your body know that it can soften here.
The whole system receives this message.
You are safe to rest.
Let the hips grow heavy,
The thighs widen,
The knees soften,
The calves and feet relax,
The whole body now resting as one unified field of sensation.
Breathing.
Resting.
Supported.
Imagine yourself in a peaceful place in nature,
A quiet shoreline where the air feels soft and kind.
You are held here.
Here beneath you steady,
The sky above you spacious.
There is nothing to manage,
Nothing to fix,
Nothing to anticipate for anyone else right now.
Only this moment.
And bring your awareness to your heart center once more.
Imagine a warm golden light glowing there.
This light is your inner steadiness.
A calm strength that does not push or move.
A presence that simply remains.
With each inhale,
The light glows a little brighter.
With each exhale,
It spreads gently throughout the body.
It flows into the belly,
Soothing and calming,
Reminding you that you do not have to brace.
It travels through the hips and legs,
Grounding you deeply.
Feel your heartbeat.
Feel the gentle rhythmic flow of breath.
These quiet rhythms remind the nervous system that you are safe here and you are held.
If thoughts arise,
Allow them to drift like clouds across the midnight sky.
You do not need to follow them.
Awareness remains spacious.
Now imagine a soft cocoon of warmth surrounding you.
Like being wrapped in gentle light.
Like being held with tenderness.
Inside this cocoon,
The outer world goes quiet.
Time slows.
The breath deepens.
The muscles release.
The body remembers how to soften.
Rest now,
Radiant sister,
For a few more breaths.
Now feel the quiet aliveness within the stillness.
So often,
We are the ones who hold space for others.
In this moment,
The space holds you.
You are allowed to receive.
You are allowed to be nourished.
You are allowed to rest.
Let this golden light within you expand once more,
Filling the entire body.
You are allowed to be nourished.
Every cell in.
A gentle remembering of wholeness.
Nothing is missing here.
Simply being is enough.
Rest a little longer in this quiet awareness.
And slowly begin to sense the edges of your body.
The air touching the skin.
The sounds around you.
The steady support beneath you.
Notice how the calm remains.
Take another big breath in.
And slow,
Steady breath out.
Invite small movements into the fingers and toes.
Perhaps a gentle stretch.
And you can return to this feeling whenever you need to soften.
Whenever you need to remember that you are held too.
When you're ready,
Gently opening your eyes.
Carrying the softness with you.
May you move through your days remembering that rest is wisdom.
And may you return to this inner support whenever you need to be held.
Namaste.
