This meditation is designed to be a pause amidst the hustle and hurry of your day.
Whatever stress you may be going through right now,
Whether it's work,
Parenting,
Caring for aging parents,
Or a loved one battling illness,
Or simply the pressure of the world around you,
Let this meditation reconnect you with a moment of peace.
Find a comfortable place to land,
Standing,
Seated,
Or lying down.
We won't be here long,
But you're welcome to remain in a quiet stillness as long as you need after this recording.
Once you've found your space,
Pause movement of your body.
Eyes opened or closed,
It's up to you.
Let your mind be expansive and your heart be soft and gentle as you begin to notice.
Notice your breath,
Gently moving in and out of your body.
Allow it to be full and easeful,
Moving beyond your nose and chest and on into your abdomen.
You are life.
Notice your feet,
Wherever they rest,
And feel the stability of the surface supporting you.
Allow your body to settle and let go of any gripping you may notice.
You are held.
If it feels right,
Place your hand somewhere on your body,
Your heart,
Abdomen,
Leg,
Or elsewhere,
To remind yourself of your ability to reconnect with your authentic self.
Allow your mind to sense the connection of your hand with your body and your body with your hand.
You are complete exactly as you are.
Now,
With eyes open,
Begin to notice the world around you.
Whether it's still or moving quickly by you,
Let your eyes slowly wander,
Taking in and perhaps naming,
In your own mind,
What you see.
You are connected.
Notice the rhythm of your body as you take this time to slow.
Even if it feels uncomfortable,
You are doing it.
And it's shifting something inside of you.
Allow that shift to be felt.
It may be in a sensation you feel or in your breath or your heartbeat or perhaps just energetically.
Acknowledge what you notice.
It is a part of you,
Even if it's as small as a twitch in your arm or sensation in your leg.
You are change.
Your body and the world around you are reminding you.
You are peace.
Remind yourself,
I am peace.
I am peace.
I am peace.
Remain here as long as you choose.
When you're ready,
Invite gentle awakening movements and go about your day with a greater sense of ease and connection.
Thank you for pausing with me today.
