For this meditation,
Find a quiet and comfortable place to either sit or lie down.
Whatever feels best for you in this moment.
Let's begin.
Begin by taking a few slow deep breaths,
Inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
Inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
Allow your body to relax,
Letting go of any tension or stress as you continue this breath one more time.
As you continue to breathe deeply and rhythmically,
Imagine yourself standing at the entrance of a beautiful garden.
The entrance is adorned with a beautiful archway covered in vibrant flowers,
Inviting you to enter.
Take a moment to observe the details of the archway,
The colors,
The textures,
And the way the flowers sway gently in the breeze.
Now take a step forward and enter the garden.
As you step aside,
You notice a pathway lined with blooming flowers of various colors and sizes.
The scent of these flowers fills the air and the soft petals gently brush against your skin as you walk along the path.
The sunlight filters through the leaves of the trees,
Creating a gentle dappled pattern on the ground.
The path leads you deeper into the garden and with each step you feel more and more at ease.
This is a calming and peaceful place.
Take a moment to notice the sounds around you.
You might hear the birds singing,
The distant rustle of leaves,
And the peaceful silence maybe that envelops the secret sanctuary.
As you continue along the path,
You come across a tranquil pond.
The water is crystal clear,
Reflecting the vibrant colors of the surrounding flowers and trees.
You decide to sit down by the edge of the pond,
Feeling the coolness of the grass beneath you.
Take a moment and dip your hand into the water.
Feel the soft,
Gentle touch,
The coolness of it on your hand.
Notice how it ripples ever so slightly.
As you gaze into the pond,
You see your own reflection,
A calm and peaceful version of yourself,
Free from any worries,
Concerns,
Or problems.
In your view,
You look ahead and see a well near the pond.
You stand up and walk to check it out.
Next to it is a sign that says,
These coins are for wishes.
You grab one of the coins and hold it in your hand,
Feeling the coolness of it,
Feeling the tingling sensations that it brings you.
You inhale,
Imagine something you wish for,
And exhale.
You throw it into the well,
Hearing as it makes a pinging sound and through the water,
Letting it go,
Allowing it to go out into the universe,
This wish of yours.
Allow yourself to stay in this moment,
Breathing in this fresh air,
Feeling the sun on your skin,
Embracing the serenity of the secret garden.
Take another moment to inhale the tranquility of the surroundings and exhale any remaining tension or stress.
When you feel ready,
Slowly bring yourself to walk back through the archway,
Through the garden,
Back into the room you're in,
Into your body,
Into your present moment.
Slowly bring your awareness back to yourself.
You can gently wiggle your fingers,
Feel free to do a gentle stretch with your body,
Whatever your body needs in the moment to come back.
When you're ready,
Gently blink your eyes open.
Take a look around your room,
Noticing colors,
Shapes of things,
And just reminding yourself that you can return to the secret garden escape in your mind whenever you need that moment of calm and relaxation.
And just keep that in your mind.
Take this feeling with you the rest of the day.
