Hello and welcome.

My name is Christine Fox.

I'm a certified canine behavior consultant and the creator of Mindset Dog Training where I help people and their dogs connect through mindfulness,

Compassion,

And understanding.

This practice is designed for you and your dog to share together.

We'll explore the five mindful elements joy,

Curiosity,

Insight,

Awareness,

And balance as a way to deepen your bond.

Find a calm place where you and your dog can rest,

Whether you're seated on the floor,

Resting in a chair,

Or simply sharing the same quiet space.

Close your eyes if that feels comfortable and take a deep steady breath.

This meditation is about connecting with your dog through the five elements of mindful training.

Joy,

Curiosity,

Insight,

Awareness,

And balance.

As we move through each one notice how your dog responds just with their body but with their spirit.

Let's begin.

Bring to mind what sets your dog's soul on fire.

Perhaps it's a favorite treat,

A toy,

Or even just you,

Your voice.

Imagine it now.

As you inhale,

Invite that sense of joy into your own body.

As you exhale,

Share it with your dog through your energy,

Your presence,

Maybe a gentle smile.

Recognize that rewards and reinforcements are not just training tools.

They are pathways to happiness and connection.

Shift your attention to your dog's senses.

Every day their physical and mental needs are met through exploring the world.

Take a slow breath in,

Noticing what your dog might hear,

Smell,

Or see right now.

Exhale letting yourself share in that same curiosity.

Allow your dog's natural exploration to remind you.

Staying curious keeps us both engaged,

Fulfilled,

And present.

Now reflect on what you've already learned together.

Training cues are not commands to be forced.

They are invitations for teamwork.

With every inhale,

Picture yourself gaining clarity.

With every exhale,

Imagine your dog understanding you with ease.

Insight grows when we pause,

Reflect,

And adjust.

Notice how your dog mirrors your willingness to learn and grow.

Turn inward now to your awareness.

Feel your breath,

Your posture,

The rise and fall of your chest.

Then shift gently to your dog's body language.

Small signals,

Soft expressions,

Movements that carry meaning.

Awareness is the key to communication.

By noticing their signals,

You offer safety,

Trust,

And respect.

Let this moment deepen that awareness.

Now allow balance to flow between you.

Breathe deeply,

Feeling both your progress and your dog's progress.

Notice the areas of strength and accept the areas of challenge with compassion.

Balance isn't about perfection.

It's about returning again and again to harmony.

Celebrate every win,

No matter how small.

Take one last deep breath together.

Place a gentle hand on your dog or simply send them your quiet gratitude.

Remember these five elements.

Joy,

Curiosity,

Insight,

Awareness,

And balance.

They are always available to you in your daily life with your dog.

Carry them into your walks,

Your play,

Your training,

And your quiet moments.

When you're ready,

Slowly open your eyes.

Return to the present,

Knowing that you've strengthened the bond that you share from my heart to yours.

Thank you for practicing today.
