If you feel as though you are walking through life with a dark cloud hanging over your head, it is time to clear away that darkness and allow the light to show through. Most of us have had times in our lives, during the process of healing or avoidance, that brings a heavy, even weighted, feeling into our lives. This darkness feels as though it hovers above us everywhere we go. Let’s clear away that darkness and reveal the light that shines beneath.

If you feel as though you are walking through life with a dark cloud hanging over your head,

It is time to clear away that darkness and allow the light to show through.

Most of us have had times in our lives during the process of healing or avoidance that brings a heavy,

Even weighted feeling into our lives.

This cloud feels as though it hovers above us everywhere we go.

Let's clear away that darkness and reveal the light that shines beneath.

With every breath,

Breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Your body grows softer.

With eyes closed,

Your face relaxes,

Your tongue falls away from the roof of your mouth.

Your shoulders relax and your hips soften.

You are at ease throughout your body.

You sense the dark cloud hovering above you.

It has the weight of the past in it.

Your unresolved emotions and memories.

Observe how you feel living in the shade of this cloud.

Next to you,

You see an object.

Pick it up.

Take that object and thrust it into the cloud,

Puncturing its surface.

Perhaps you open the darkness in one movement,

Perhaps several.

The cloud bursts like a balloon.

All that was contained within is released from the confines of this cloud.

The dark heaviness that was contained within hovers before you for recognition,

Acceptance and release.

Tune into what is before you as an observer.

See with clear eyes and clear emotions.

One by one,

Each layer before you dissolves as you observe and clear each unresolved emotion and memory.

It's okay if you are unsure about what is before you.

Not every memory and emotion needs perfect clarity to be released.

Observe,

View and release.

You are aware of what is before you.

You are aware of what is before you.

You are aware of what is before you.

You are aware of what is before you.

You are aware of what is before you.

You are aware of what is before you.

You are aware of what is before you.

You are aware of what is before you.

A sprinkle of golden light moves down into your energy field as you release the remaining layers.

You are aware of what is before you.

You are aware of what is before you.

You are aware of what is before you.

You find yourself surrounded by a bright healing light.

This light moves over,

Around and through you,

Severing any cords that may remain between you and the darkness.

Any remaining darkness untangles and clears from your body,

While cords are released and the weight of your past is cleared.

You are aware of what is before you.

You are aware of what is before you.

Your body grows lighter with each breath.

Your vision is clear.

You are no longer clouded by darkness.

Each breath brings hope and a promise for the future.

One where you are equally thankful for the challenges that bring you growth and the moments of joy that bring you peace.

In this moment,

You are free from the weight of your past.

Give thanks for the healing that has taken place today.

Give thanks for each moment and each breath.

I am giving 5 stars because this is effective and helpful. However, even though I was expecting the ending bell based on a prior reviewer, as someone with PTSD it still frightened me. I would re-do this meditation and fade out at the end since many folks who use this will probably also suffer from past-trauma jumpiness.

This was perhaps the most consequential meditation I have experienced in quite a while. It spoke to where I am and although now teary and emotionally exhausted I feel that with enough repetition I might successfully chip away at the “bandaid” covering past memories that need to be examined and resolved.
